Gigabyte KNXP help

I had the same problem and Gigabyte sent me a "9a " bios I can email to you if you want.contact me on dogs2@netspace.net.au Fixed the problem

My comp Gigabyte GA-8KNXP keeps randomly restarting on me!

I had the same problem but windows was reporting a driver issue but couldnt say which one. I can only suggest two things, one fixed it for me but dunno which one. 1/ i removed a Ricoh 52x52x32 cdrw drive 2/ changed from asus ti4800 superfast drivers to the nvidia one. So far its work. A...

Yes, I have been trialing this bios for several weeks for Gigabyte. Had no problems at all.

Just thought i'd update you guys on my previous post and Bios F8 giving me a "unknown hardware" issue. I mailed gigabyte with the issue and they sent me a F9a Bios, that fixed the problem.

BubbaMorg. This sounds like the exact problem i had with my first KNXP.It was the dual power module.Try removing it. According to my local PC shop they've had a few of them like that.(Australia).

Slow CD and DVD Burning

Funny you should mention IDE cables as i just installed new round type cables. I will revert back to the original intel cables. I already am using the drivers as per the KNXP driver disk.. Thanks

To be honest I dont know. But thats one thing to look at.In win98 that was able to be controlled in device manager.Same for XP i assume?? Thanks for such a fast reply.

I hope i can get some ideas on why my machine takes so long to burn CD's and DVD's. The machine is an P4 3ghz, 2gb ram, Gigabyte KNXP m/b, 1x 80 gb WD 8mb cache hdd, 4x SATA 120gb seagate hdd, leadtek TI4200 AGP, LG 52x52x24, lg 16x dvd rom, Sony 500AX (4x) DVD+-R). OK heres the problem, when...
