    to get a xp1700 to a 3ghz mark, you will need supercooling methods. 226watt pelt + superchilled water could do it, or just go with a prometia setup, which is very expensive.

    you don't need to clock it up to near/similar to the clockspeed of P4 1.5ghz. You can clock it far less and still beat it. over the years, i've been seeing too many P4 Willy 1.5/1.6/1.8ghz systems owners get worst result in office apps and games.

    phpdog, thanks.. you have a great chip. That chip is still better than many other "good" xp1700s. running over 2.5ghz at prime stable on air is impressive. :) as for the LN2 cooling, i don't do it, so i do not know. Check out over at H or xtremesystems forum. and good luck to you. :)...

    your experience of keyboard freezing is more likely your CPU freezed. The clock you were running(2600mhz) was too much for your CPU to handle. Your Vcore is too low and not enough for it to operate at 2600mhz and need more cooling. Basically you cannot even get to the desktop reliably...

    i use Sony 19" HMDA440. very nice. i love the virtually flat screen and its crisp sharp and bright image quality. i have no complaints here. Far better than my old Sony 17" 200ES trinitron in image quality wise.

    With or without the Heatspreader give you better result in FSB overclocking (assuming your system is surely able to handle high FSBs)? What's your experience in testing between the two?

    2-2-2-11 is faster

    i have corsairXMS 3500(3502v1.1), 2 sticks. My normal overclock and memory timing@ 5-2-2-2(or 6-2-2-2) is about the same as 11-2-2-2. 11-2-2-2 setting gave me no improvement. The 3dmark score stayed the same. im using the nforce2 board.
