I am sure that I am putting it in the right slot on the mobo. I have read threw the manual for what slot and what ram my computer should have.
What I mean by the ear bud is to cut cord and splice it. So that I can connect it to the mobo where the case speaker is suppost to be. What I am...
I am just wondering if a computer will post with no ram? Should I be able to get atleast to the bios without ram? I am having the hardest time with my new c2d build not even posting. I have tried with 1 stick and with 2 sticks and with no sticks and I still get the same thing. The fans start up...
I bought the DS3 mobo and PQI mem but they don't seem to be working together. I was wondering if ppl with the DS3 could tell me what ram they are using.
Thanx in advance.
If you don't mind me asking what mem did you end up getting? I am looking at OCZ OCZ Gold Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2. Do you think it will work?
so Newegg says my mem is 1.9v and I have looked at the newegg site for my ds3 and it doesn't say what volts the mem needs to be.
Anyone out there with a ds3 that can tell me what there mem is running at?
So I built a new system after waiting two weeks to get my parts(APO). I have the gigabyte ds3 mobo with e6400 zalman 9500, enermax liberty 500w psu 2 gb pqi ram. Took several hours to put the thing together and now it won't boot. I pluged it in and hit the power on button. When all the fans...
over the past few years and the several systems that I have bought and build I have put modular PSU in all of them. Mostly Ultra PSU are what I put in but not many ppl talk about those PSU's. But they Have worked great for me.
you need to go to device drivers and install them threw there and point the install to the folder you dl'ed. This will tell the hardware were the drivers are at. just make sure you have them unziped before you try this.
I am building a new system using the Giga-Byte DS3. I don't need the SLI support. The features of the DQ6 are not worth the money. So that makes the DS3 worth the money.
Why isn't there much love for Modular PSUs? I have used ultra for several of my last builds. But this time I wanted to ask other ppl what they thought. I just need to make sure that it will fit in that case as the PSU is on bottem and requires PSUs with longer cables.
Well you are right I should go with the DS3 it has more what I need for nearly half the price. I may not have a limit but I am not stupid.
Thanx for your help.
I am currently looking into building a multi-tasking computer for my alt machine. It is being built to take some of the load of my gaming machine. 9 programs while playing games isn't the best thing to do. So let me get down to with what I have picked out so far for parts.
Case: P180B...
So I finally got the as-3000 install. It worked well and got the temps down a bit. I never break 60c when it is under full load. That is 14 degrees lower then before. But the idle temps are just about the same.
On the other hand I had some trouble filling the tank up with that fluid. But in...
Widescreen is the way to go. Unless the game is older it will be supported. A nice 24 inch will get you some nice res. Dell and Samsung offer great widescreen LCD's.
Ok I can keep you posted as to how the install goes. My three day weekend starts tomorrow and I will be starting the installation after I get home. I am a noob to watercooling but have a good tech background. So the install shouldn't be that hard. But, who knows. If you want to check it out...
Well I ordered a Kingwin as-3000 just to see how much it could help my temps. It costs pretty cheap and supports the LGA775 chipset. But, I haven't tested it yet to see if it will get my temps down much. All the reviews I read for it are positive. It is just over $100 on newegg. I know it is...
Currently I have a Zalman CNPS9500 on my 3.73 LGA775. I would not say it is the best as I am upgrading it to watercooling in a few days. But, it does keep it from fairy cool even under load.
Just so you know that i am not trying to lead anyone astray. I found this information a while back and recently due to pc upgrades I decided to finally buy some and use them. So about 1 week ago I got them in the mail.
They are super quiet but, as for how much air they move I am not sure if...
I have had several types of fans that make alot of noise and I am always on the lookout for quiet fans. But I never hear any talk about SilenX fans. I Ordered some and the 120mm Fans are only 14db with 74cfm. That is the best I have found. Has anyone else found these fans to work as good for them?
Thanx for your help even though my CPU is not on that list. I am still wondering about how much water cooling would help me. How much would I look to have to spend to get a good water cooling system.
I would like to first thank you for your time and helpful sugestions. I am running an Intel 3.73 with a Zalman CNPS9500 CPU Cooler and at idle it runs at 48C with several fans and an open case. Now when I am running any type of CPU taxing program or game it can go up to about 67-70C. The Temp in...
I think I have the worst setup I am in the military in Iraq. In the shade it is like 130F. My AC runs all day and threw the night cuz it does not drop below 90 ever here. During the hottest part of the day my tent is about 95F. I am having a Shuttle sent down here for personal use to pass the...
yeah I am in the military. I am just having trouble getting some of the stuff sent out here. That and the time it takes for stuff to get here. But I have lots of time on my hands so I am trying to think of things to do while I run the net all day.
I have to get the parts but as soon as I do I am going to start making it fit. I am in Iraq right now so it might be a bit before I get some of the mouse parts do to location.
I want to get the Razor Boomslang 2100 mouse but I don't want to have a ball mouse. So I am thinking of moding the Boomslang with the guts of a MX500. This is all for the design and comfort of the Boomslang with an optical core.
Well what is was wondering was has anybody done anything like this...
I am not that familar with the mobo that he has so I can't say weather he has a lot of slots left for upgrading. But if he does not get an upgraded case then he could just upgrade the CPU for about $103 usd with a Athlon XP 2600+.
I would go with the shuttle and I did. Yes all those things are onboard the shuttle. The best advantage is that you get to save the space. Plus I think that the design is for portablity. If you lAN then this is just what the doctor ordered.
That is wierd, I have never come across that sort of problem in all my repair jobs. You might look to a software issue or confilct that could be interfearing. When was the last time you updated the Firmware on your drives. Outside of that I can't think of much else to look at. Best of luck to...
