Overclocking question....

I read somewhere that when you overclock the CPU, or GPU, that you cut the lifespan of it. I was just wondering if this is true. I was thinking about overclocking my p4 2.6 and my 9800np, but if it makes the lifespan shorter I don't want to do it. Thanks

People with an IS7 board, please help...

I just bought this board and a couple of 512mb pc3200 sticks and I went looking though the bios and I can't find an option to activate dual channel. The sticks are in slots 1 and 3, which I'm pretty sure are the correct slots they need to be in. Does anyone know where or what I need to change...

Is the radeon 9800 pro worth 100 more than np

sorry, usually when I post in the video section people don't respond as quick, or I don't get as many as I would in the general hardware. But I like to hear what people that post in the video section have to say. I'll try to keep the cross posting at a minimum ;)

I just got a radeon 9800 np from CC for $199, but now I see that ATI 9800 Pro's are selling for >$300 all over the net. So, should I take back the card I got from CC and pay the $100 dollar difference? Would the performance gain justify spending $100 more? BTW, the card from CC has the...

Ok, well they have one by Saphire about $20 cheaper that is OEM. Would Saphire be a better buy? Anther thing, can you return the OEM video cards to newegg if they are deffective?
