I am not able to get Time Spy to work with my new card. I put everything to stock, but the app would not run. When I hit the Run button, screen goes dark for 20-30 seconds, then I get a work loader or something has crashed. When I hit close, it goes dark again and then get the same message again.
It's a 40 dollar difference but other than the clockmakers, I don't see any physical difference. Should I just get the cheaper one and oc to the higher speed?

Another update on my progress after my second phase of 6 weeks;

I didnt get to my goal of < 180 so I am going to go on for a third phase; goal is to get to 174lbs.

After testing a bunch, 1.325 seems to be the best for the speed I am getting. I tried 1.3 and Prime95 failed after 10 minutes. At 1.35V, I could squeeze maybe 1Mhz increase in bclk but dont think its worth it.
Thanks. I ran prime95 overnight to make sure the overclock was stable. I am pretty impressed and to think it just cost me 140bucks for this processor which made me go for it in the first place over the 4690k that I was eyeing for a long time.
I was looking at guides to overclock my i5 6500 and they say to put voltage at 1.325V. My defaullt is 1.12V, so isnt 1.325 a bit high.
I did run Prime95 for an hour at my overclocked settings and it didnt crash, but still worried since with thse beta bios the temps are not reported correctly.
I am still waiting for an updated bios for the Z170A Krait Gaming that actually allows BCLK overclocking on my i5 6500. Each time I see a report of success with that processor(like in the eurogamer article above), it makes me frustrated that I cannot do it!!!
