my question is, will seagate use technicalities in their warranty policy to void possible warranty issues?
i heard that for the hitachi warranty, if you keep your computer on 24/7 or like consecutive, it does not qualify for warranty because of the policy..
HMMMMMMMMMMM..........
i need an add-on ide card because all my other IDE controllers are full.
plus it's used for my 200 gb (which onboard won't read)
The 137 GB limitation is not a problem.
My system drive is attached to the onboard IDE controllers.
ahh so confused...
thanks for the replies
newbie here.
After i reformatted (after virus attack), my IDE card started to give me problems with windows. When drives were attached, my computer freezes when the Initializing Intel Boot Agent screen shows up. Actually, i just kinda switched my NIC and my ide card around, and now it gets...
just got mine...only a few were 200 GBs. UPC points to the rebate model, so i hope there won't be any problems with the rebates, although on the rebate form it says WD160JBRTL instead of WD1600JBRTL (on both UPC and rebate receipt), but maybe i'm just paying too much attention to detail?
alright get ready for some newbiness...
but can someone explain the difference between TY and CMC etc...
and how to tell if they are TY or not?
thanks..
i just got my drive and it's fine. it's just a little annoying that i have to use nero express, but other than that...no problem :D\
i just hope my rebates come in
another question...is it a big deal if the address i put on a rebate form is different the shipping address? and who wouldn't mind sending me a copy of the rebate forms?
sorry to be such a newbie, but when it says offer date (for rebates) 8/10-8/16, that just means i have to purchase it in between these dates, right? and...B&M = ?
thanks
