I wonder if Coolermaster is having financial troubles. They've had tons of rebates for a while now. Usually that's the sign of a company heading towards bankruptcy (like Soyo)...
Yeah, after Thanksgiving zipzoom had this for $28 with free shipping w/a $28 rebate. Just a warning, though, the rebate on this one is demanding. I think it's purposefully designed to be difficult to be able to deny as many rebate submittals as possible for missing or incorrect info. Just...
The 80.14 AR is for the 200GB seagate hdd at amazon. Here's the link. The post got edited and the link to it was deleted after people posted about the outpost deal (though the rebate link at outpost for this drive doesn't work, so I'd still go with the amazon over the outpost for this)
Yeah, I know. I got a BFG 6800OC back w/the BB deal, and unlocked the 4 pipes and 1 shader, and o/c'd to 400mhz core and 840mhz memory. I haven't seen any reviews of the evga or xfx vanilla 6800's, but I figured some of the xfx build features may be similar to the 6600GT.
You need to order via internet to get the $185 price. Order for store pick up so you don't pay shipping. You can do an internet order right from the store. I almost jumped on this, but after tax it ends up being a bit more than the XFX card at newegg. With 5% tax $285*1.05-$100=$199.25...
I'll let the e-mail I sent to newegg speak for itself. The changes suck.

I like:
* I like the paginated Deals on the home page. Nice to flip through them by page easily. Thumbs up.
I don't like:
1) Site info should...
Called that number to talk to Soyo... and got "We're sorry, the mailbox is full. Please try again later." WTF?! E-mailing them didn't do anything, I can't call them, so I guess it's time to see what Newegg can do for me...
So, if you went back and tried to get the price adjusted for HL2 for 39.99, instead of the 54.99 that it was at the time of this deal, do you think it would void the $105 rebate? The rebate says, "All eligible products must be purchased during the promotion period (as stated above) and must be...
How much time do you have to submit the $20 rebate after puchase of HL2? I ask cause I think I'm getting HL2 for xmas, so I'd have to find out and break the box open for the rebate if it needs to be submitted within 4 weeks of purchase...
Buy.com has the DKVM-2K
D-Link 2 port KVM switch for $9.99, including free shipping, after a $10 rebate. I didn't trust the rebate that is linked to, so I'm going to use the one off the newegg.com site because it actually lists buy.com in the bottom right corner.
They send you an e-mail confirming that your order's been placed. They don't send an e-mail when they charge your credit card. You do get an e-mail with a UPS tracking number.
I've been using the MX700 for about 6 months, and replaced swapped back to my old cheapo chorded optical. I find the chordless mice are fine for general use, but stink for gaming. I don't know how many times I've gotten fragged cause my mouse batteries were low. I'm thinking hard about this...
Thanks for the feedback moochadime & DJfuji.
Here's my experience:
I bought a set from justdeals.com web site on the 8th for $73.99 shipped via UPS ground. They arrived last night, the 18th. Not bad considering they were shipped from CA to ME. The first thing I noticed was how heavy...
Maybe this doesn't belong in this thread, but how much do you sacrifice by losing the center channel w/a 4.1 vs 5.1? I bought these speakers after reading several reviews (Maximum PC magazine has them as their "Best of the Best" for 4.1 speakers). My sound is mostly for gaming and occasional...
Well, people have different approaches. I've heard of putting the paste on in a couple small rice sized drops, and then letting the contact between the cpu and HS squeeze it, making the spread. I'd rather see the spread first. Apply as little paste as possible to completely cover the surface...
Me too. Like lots of folks, I don't want to buy a new mobo & cpu just to get PCIe. The 6600GT kicks the 9800XT's ass as long as you don't plan on using AA/AF, and costs a lot less. I've been itching for a new graphics card, but can't afford the 6800 prices.
It sure is interesting that Soyo is offering rebates on other mobo's too... Makes you wonder. I already took a chance on the newegg V1.0. Don't think I'm gonna press my luck...
I'm using the 60.72 beta, because it fixes a problem w/ older drivers locking you up when playing a game (such as SoF2 multiplayer) that's running punkbuster.
I've got a TI4600 right now, and I've been sitting on the fence for several months watching the price of the 9800Pro hover around $200. Initially I was was going to grab one when HL2 came out, but now that the x800 and 6800 generation cards are out, I'm not very excited about the 9800Pro...
Amazon price is now $40. www.buy.com and www.macmall.com both have it for $36 plus shipping. I've tried several headsets for gaming over the years, and so far these are my favorite.
Great case and great shipped price. I have one, myself. Just be warned, the front bezel is all plastic. Mine came busted during shipping, but Antec replaced it for free. The power supply is very good, but I wish it was a bit quieter. It's the loudest component in my case, since I have my...
Interesting that the only way to get to the Hyper Microsystems page with the Hercules 9800 Pro is by using the link in the original post. Search their site any other way and you can't find it... Strange.
Good thing there's a heat sink on the back side, cause it doesn't look like there's much mass on the GPU. Does look sweet. I'd be currious to know how it o/c's, if anyone's played with it.
