I did little bit homework and found this one is a good deal. I am not sure if this is Sears local sale or national event. I would like to have one if there is one at this price in Houston. Thanks for the good post. I don't like people here being negative and not present fact.
Widescreen (16:9) looks fancy nowaday, but most programming is still in standard format (4:3). Here are some interesting data
36" (4:3) = 33" (16:9) $900
34" (16:9) = 27.8" (4:3) $1500
Personally, I think 4:3 36inch HDTV is the best transition TV to the true HDTV age (5 years later). $899 is extremely hot as the other brand or other cost easily $400 or $500 more. The review on Philips TV is not that bad. Someone compares it to SONY and decided to go to philips because...
