Been a while since ive touched java.. use to use Jbuilder 9, anyways.. What the hell is the purpose of the package <Project Source> that is automatically created? It seems to make a copy of other packages that are created, im just wondering what it is used for. Jason

power plugs

To be more specific.. ive been noticing the 3.3V connection gets rather hot on the main ATX plug. I think this is because newer CPUs draw so much more power than before.

Even with the 24pin connector the plug and connection pins are still the same, and I dont think they are adequate for the power requirements of newer power hungry CPUs. Too many watts consumed, and not enough connection material. I think this problem is only surfacing now, but it will become...

Has anybody noticed that while PC components have been evolving at great rates the ATX plug has remained the same and rising power requirements for faster CPUs and such seems to be more than what these plugs can handle? Does anybody else notice their plug getting hot? Do you do anything to...

need advice - AMD or intel ?

If ur worried about dating then you should deff go with the top of the line, otherwise dont worry about it. Im still using a 142 I got on preorder.. Im not even sure how long ive had it, longer than any other system Ive built and I plan on using it atleast 6 more months..

Moron?? WTF It was just a suggestion. Some of us like ferraris and some of dont I guess. AMD is currently making the best chips and the FX is the best of the best. In the grand scheme of things computers dont cost that much, and better now will save you in the long run.

Does the bios contain capability to read a keyboard input?

With a new mobo it prolly wont matter because new days they seem to support both PS/2 and USB. Where before if you had a USB keyboard you would be in trouble. There is no reason a wired or a wirelss would make a connection difference.

YES, i have a suggestion. Get two 7200RPM 80GB maxtor drives that have fluid dynamic bearings. They are cheap, nearly silent and produce little heat because they have one less platter than most other drives.. And run them in a raid0 array. You deffinitely will not regret it.

The only extra overhead is you have to press F6 during the windows installation to install the controller drivers, after that there isnt anything else extra and it behaves as a single drive, thats crazy fast.. All data initially comes from the hard drive(s) and it is the slowest component...

The animated bar at the bottom of the XP startup screen makes it across about 1 to 1.5 times. You could make a sandwich in the time it takes my buddies single 7200RPM drive to load doom3 or farcry. This thing takes about 15secs or so to load a farcry level.

im runnin 4 drives in raid 0, ever since the opteron proc was released.. The drives are mounted in a LianLi alum case next to 2 fans. I could never go without it in my personal machine..

Thanks for the help. Did it measure 124V with the UPS unplugged? I just plugged a lamp into it and did that exact test, it is 90V with and without a load. If yours was pushing 124V unplugged I'll deffinitely be taking this one back. Jason

UPS offline voltage

It has charged over night. I am checking the voltage with a volt meter or a multimeter. 90 volts seems way too low. Can some please.. check the offline voltage on a UPS. Thanks Jason

burnt power plug

Thanks for the links.. Im not going to ever back up to CDRs so thats no big deal.. Im mainly looking for speed and reliability and the ability to syncronize instead of rebacking up everything would be a nice feature checking the links..
