Which should be better, 2x2GB 5-4-4-15 or 4x1GB 4-4-4-15?

Hi, I can get those two options for the same price: 2x2GB 5-4-4-15 4x1GB 4-4-4-15 Should I prefer one over the other? Does having all banks full make me lose the benefit of the extra timing? This would be on an Asus P5K motherboard (X35). Thanks a lot!

Good 1U Passive cooling for P4

Hi, I'm looking for manufacturers of good passive heatsinks for P4, for 1U servers. So far I've seen products from Dynatron and Cooler Master, but I was wondering if there were any other good ones out there? Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the review! And I agree with cmdrdredd that it would be nice to have an "overclocked" overview of the 845PE boards. Now I just need to wait on the other 2 reviews and I'll be all set :D

Great to hear! :) That's just for the Epox, or the Aopen (and maybe MSI) as well? Especially relating to speed and overclockability. Just can't wait to finally get my new setup! :) Watercooled too... hehe!

520W PSU enough for 156W peltier?

Hrmm... Good point, I had not thought about that... Oh well, a bit of power loss will hopefully not be too bad :) Did not want to dish out the extra for a dedicated power supply that would also take more room in the case. One more question, is there a guide anywhere that shows how to hook up...

520W PSU enough for 156W peltier?

Hi, I'm currently checking out setups that I want for my watercooling, and I've decided on getting a pelt and a Vantec 520W Stealth PSU. I was just wondering if the PSU would be able to handle the load of a 156W peltier without any problems? Could I even go further? I don't plan on having too...

P4 2.5@400 vs 2.4@533 vs 2.53 for overclocking

Yeah, that would be great (the dual channel DDR that we've all been waiting for... like the dream of a P4 nforce...), but before I can get those products in Montreal, it'll almost be Christmas time, and I don't want to wait that long... heh!

Ok, thanks a lot for the info on the board. There is however one issue that I've noted. If you look at this page on AOpen's website, you'll notice that there are 2 boards based on the SiS648 chipset, as opposed to what it's saying on their products page, which is only showing the AX45-8X Max...

3-Way 845PE Shootout: Albatron, ASUS, Gigabyte

Very nice article Evan, just one request if possible though. You've shown that the Albatron board ran very well with memory even above 400MHz, but with no benchmarks. Would it be possible to give some numbers on its performance with DDR memory at 400MHz? It would be nice to compare it to the SiS...

The AOpen board also looks really promising, as it's one of the only other manufacturers that states on their website that the board is made to accept DDR 400. The only problem that I see with it is that it can't be found anywhere yet, except maybe in Japan or other asian countries. I don't know...
