Minimum full HD LCD size

I was at my sister's place and she has a 42" plasma. I felt rather dizzy after watching it a while. I think I should try and see if that's the case again. Thanks for the link.

Hi folks, I'm planning to buy a 37" LCD for my living room which only has a distance of ~6.5 feet from sofa to TV cabinet. I'm leaning towards Sharp (can't remember the model). But the more important thing is that am I going to benefit from going FULL HD in a 37" model compared to 40-42"...

I'm back and I'm looking at iwconfig eth1 display using watch on a 1 second interval. I've managed to connect to the AP and I can see that the Bit Rate reading fluctuates from 2-5.5-11-2-0Mb/s. Same goes for Link Quality. Goes from 80-90-0-61. Signal Level is rather constant at -70 dBm...

A scan using iwlist shows that the other channel used is 6. I've set my channel to those I've mentioned earlier. Still no go.

Blank page when accessing encrypted websites in IE7?

Hi folks, Anyone here faced with a blank page when loading encrypted (SSL) pages in IE7? Couple of my company's customers are facing this problem. But I can't seem to simulate it on any of the PCs I have here. Anyone here having the same problem? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

WinXP detects 250GB SATA as 130GB

Hi folks, I just bought myself a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 and a 250GB SATA HDD. However, during XP installation, it detects the HDD as 130GB. The BIOS detects fine as 250GB. Any ideas what's going on? Thanks.

LVM: Unable to assign physical volume to a volume group

From what I've read, when EVMS was chosen, they went back and added LVM support. I think I know what went wrong when using EVMS. Instead of doing vgextend <volume group> /dev/hdd8, I might be able to do vgextend <volume group> /dev/evms/hdd8.

Hi folks, I'm currently dual booting between XP and Ubuntu 6.06. XP is installed in /dev/hda1 while Ubuntu is installed in /dev/hdd5. /dev/hdd1 is filled up with a NTFS partition. I also have LVM setup which has a PV in /dev/hdd7. Unfortunately, I created /dev/hdd7 way too small initially...

Hi folks, I've been hit with a very weird error msg in WinXP SP2 without any error code. It just says "Hardware Malfunction. Contact Hardware Vendor." I noticed that right before the BSOD appears, my monitor goes to power savings mode. Initially I suspected that it was a memory failure...

What objects are those in IE's View Objects option?

Hi folks, I can see that this folder houses the plugins used by IE. However, even though I remove the items in this folder (Java plugin for example), IE is still able to load the plugin when I restart the browser. Any ideas? Thanks.
