Credit Report Questions

Hi, I hope someone has answers to some of these questions I have about my credit report. If I see an account for a credit card that i DID NOT ask for, but was given to me and then closed, what can I do about it ? (i.e. BofA issued out a credit card to me which I didn't accept but is still...

from the GRE Info and Reg Bulletin, Subject Tests Nov. 8, 2003 Dec 13, 2003 April 3, 2004 * April's does not offer Computer Science Test...

Cal Poly SLO or UC Davis for CS

hey i go to UCD, but I am in the Computer Science & Engineering program.. I can say that it is quite interesting... If you come here, try to take Sean Davis for ECS110 and maybe even ecs30 and ecs40. those are the first 3 major programming classes and Sean's one of the best lecturers around...

folder in windows

hey i was just trying to make a new folder... but it kept saying invalid name... i was trying to create a 'com1' folder but it won't let me... Someone know what its reservered for ? This was done in windows 2000. It freaked me out --dyqith

Anybody know where i can find a cheap cheap laptop that works... Something really cheap in the range of sub 800... I don't need any great specs, just about a 1 gig hdd, 32-64 MB RAM, 400 MHz proc... a floppy drive (MUST HAVE).... I just need it to install a MINIX Operating System but I don't...

Hey guys, I'm currently looking around for a Toyota Camry... Something that's not a new model... So basically, one that is between 1990-1999 that is new (never driven) and not used. Where should I look for this ? Oh, if I prefer a manual and maybe v6 if they have... I tried looking all over...

damn... should have been reading the entire code :P hmm, i traced it down to the line: Wumpus * ptr = FindWumpus(w->get_name()); from the function bool WumpusList::update(Wumpus * w) i changed it so instead of passing by reference (i think that's what you were trying to do), i let it pass by...

Is flash hard to learn?

Flash isn't very hard to learn... except for the actionscripting unless you know some programming.... I've been doing flash programs for awhile and most of the stuff i do isn't 'graphical' per se... we do mostly programming aspects since Flash is portable and easy with the animation. Its more...

Power Supply Noise

hey guys, quick question, My case's power supply is making an annoying whirring sound that was not there before. Is it dying on me? It use to be quiet and really soft. But now, it sounds like its whirring a lot/faster more than usual. So, do you think i should go get another power supply...

C++ advice needed... what's the best way to deallocate a doubly linked list?

i could think up of two ways to do this... one is to keep a temporary variable for the next node and use do something like this: this = head; while(this != null) { temp = this->next; delete this; this = temp; } or you could do a recursive way by calling all the next's and deleting it...

is it just me or does it seem like we're preparing for war ? I would have thought the U.S. would have more sense to be seen as the "friendly" neighbor rather than as the "war monger" It's a great day for technology but a sad day for humanity

basically... I'm a programmer right now.... i don't have an acutal job description so.. i might do some hardware (setup networks/test them, etc) or do documents or something... I actually hate the building 13 place... we use to work at building 9 (or was it 8 ?).. We had a big bull pen there...

yea, i went to Marshall as well, well i graduated from there in year 2000 so i was kinda new last year... but its fun, Didn't the place seem empty ? last time i was there, most of the cubes were empty... try staying there until 8 or 9 and have the lights turn off and on suddenly... scary :Q...

is it illegal to write a program that could open/write to MS Word/Excel, etc... files ?

Whats double clutching?

wow, let me get this straight... You're suppose to be stepping on the clutch(effectively putting it in neutral) and gas at the same time ? I been doing this when downshifting (usually on a turn from 3rd gear to 2nd gear) : shift to neutral, gas, quickly step on clutch again, and shift to 2nd...

just a question... i'm studying for CCNP right now... I'm planning to take the Remote Access Exam first.. Any nice advice/tip ? I got the Cisco books so i'm studying off of that... but any other advice ? How long it took you guys to study for each test ? Thanks guys,

hmmm... me thinks me closest brush with death was... when i flipped forward off my bicycle head first... head hit the ground, bicycle ran over part of me, skidded a bit and stopped.... o, i was trying to swerve away from this other guy that fell in the oncoming lane, he fell over to my lane...

is it just me or does it seem like regular CS guys can't find jobs anymore? i'm a fresh in college studying Computer Science and Engineering... it seems like its harder and harder for comp. sci ppl to find jobs... except as Q&A unlesss you have a lot of experience/references from profs...
