Hey guys it seems like the promedias are the best pc speakers out there. But I would rather not shell out the cash for them. So I pose my qusetion what is the best pair of pc speakers for under $100.
In my mind grado's are the best open headphone. I have a pair of sr-80's that are just amazing. I would recommend checking out head-fi.org they have a good forum.
You could allways buy from a company like abs or monarch where in which they could build you a system pretty close to if you built it yourself. And it would only cost around $100 more.
From abs I really like the awesome 3300, I think it offers a good set a parts with a great price. If you want to have a more customizable system you might want to check out monarch computers.
I would highly suggest checking out abs computers and monarch computers. Both of these companies will build you a great computer. I would pick abs if you want a little more hand holding, I would say their across between building your own and dell. They will also probably offer better customer...
Hey guys I got in on the recent $200 dell deal and I now have my first pc. Is there anything in particular that I should know? I can say that so far i'm really liking windows xp. Any tips you guys have would be great. Also are there any specific programs you would recommend downloading?
You might also want to check out the awesome 3300, I think it's the best deal abs has. Personally I think abs's gaming systems are overpriced. If you want a more customizable system you might want to also check out monarch computers.
Thanks tbogstad, I ordered one of these systems this morning with the 7200 rpm hard drive and with everything else stock. I think this system should be fine for introducing me to windows.
I'm new to the pc world i'm just coming over from the mac. What's the p4 2.2 400 equal to on the amd side, also how much worse is it compared to the p4 2.2 533. Is there anything this system can't handle well besides gaming and video editing.
If you want a more upgradeable machine I would look into abs computers and monarch computers. With monarch computers you select all the parts you want just like you were building it but they do it for you, plus you get a warranty. Monarch seems to be about $100 over what it would cost to build...
I would highly suggest checking out abs computers and monarch computers aswell. I did alot of research on this subject and came to the conclusion that these two were the best.
Instead of going to customize system go to recommended systems. Then the select to customize the $899 model. Even if you select the $1700 model once you customize it right it comes out to $850.
I would add monarch computer to that list. I've done alot of research in this field and came to the conclusion that a dell was actually the best choice. Simply because you can get a p4 2.6, 9800 non pro, and 512mb ram for $850. If I were to not buy from dell I would probably go with abs mainly...
I wish abs offered the 9600 pro in there 3300 series. You might also want to look into monarch computer. You can't really beat dell for the price though, for $850 you can get a p4 2.6 800, 9800 non pro, and 512mb ram.
I'd recommend checking out abs computers and monarch computers. Both seem to have very good reputations. Or if you are willing to buy a dell you can get a great gaming system for under a thousand dollars. You can a 4600 with a p4 2.6 800, ati 9800 non pro, 512mb ram all for about $850.
Hey guys i'm probably going to be buying one of these abs computers, which do you think sounds better. besides the motherboard and processor they are the same computer.
Gigabyte GA-7N400-L nforce 2 motherboard
amd 2600
fx 5200 ultra
p4s800 (SIS 648 chipset)
p4 2.4 800
fx 5200 ultra
Hey guys i'm trying to decide which pc to buy. It's either between a dell for $750 with a 2.4 and a ati 9800 or an abs for $720 with a 2.4 and a 5200. The abs also has the p4s800 motherboard which uses the sis 648 chipset. Other than the video card and the motherboard they are about the same...
Hey guys I'm going to be buying an abs system soon and I have a choice between either the fx 5200 ultra or the 9600 non pro. The 9600 is $50 more do you think it's worth the extra money? Also is the 5200 comparable to a ti4200 64mb?
