    I don't like loud, that is why I am interested in the new one. Not alot of support for the Thermalright. It did alot better in the reviews I found, but none were on sites I had ever heard of. Anyone ever use one?

    I just ordered a x1900xt and was wondering aboot aftermarket coolers. So far it seems that there are only two available: The thermalright V-1 Ultra and the Arctic Cooler Accelero X2. Any opinions on these vs the stock unit, or another one that I don't yet know about?

    I do not dislike the panel. Buying a LCD online is the issue. I can buy the Apple local, but it needs some kind of special converter to use with a PC. I was hoping that a B&M brand would release one. Hence Samsung, Viewsonic, and Sony.

    I know the cards cost alot, that is why I would want it to be on the motherboard. SLI with VGA silencers, an X-fi and a PPU fill up all the available slots anyway. In fact, my DFI is full with one silencer and a X-fi. No room for a second silencer nor a PPU.

    Since you are building for games, why go dual core? Get a 3500+ or something similar and spend the savings on a bigger monitor. Dual core seems to have no effect on games.

    Recommend me a good 19" CRT monitor.

    I have both the Viewsonic P95f 19" and tghe NEC FP2141 22" monitors. Both are excellent, especially for gaming. Many Samsung monitors have a curved tube with a flat piece of glass in front of it. I would avoid these.

    I just finished putting my new NV silencer 5 rev.2 on my Leadtek 6800GT pcie flashed to Ultra. It fits! More than that, I can use the huge copper backplate with it, and there is a small heatsink in the front of the card that fits. I don't know if there is any advantage to these small things...

    Asus A8N Sli-Deluxe

    Having problems with this set, going back to 1006. DvD drive runs at full speed constantly after startup. It stops after you cycle the tray, so no big deal. The Nvidia Lan is buggy all of a sudden too. It is off the website, so maybe it wasn't really the finished version? WHatever the case...

    Correction, Windows cannot format the Raptor!?!?!?!?

    Sometimes the "disk" you need is on the CD that came with the motherboard. You use that disk to boot, and it gives you the option to make a floppy. I had to do this with my Asus SLI-Deluxe and Raptor.

    My Asus A8N SLI-Deluxe doesn't overclock at all. The HTT multiplier in the bios does not work. Waited through 3 bios versions, still no fix. I would reccommend against getting this board.

    I've had no voltage problems, and no Ntune problems. I use two power supplies, one for fans, HDs, and DvD-ROM (antec 350 watt), one for the MD and video card (OCZ 520w).

    The HT multiplier in the bios doesn't work at all with my A8N SLI Deluxe. I am also using the latest bios. You are not the only one having problems. We await a new and better bios, I guess.
