Actually, I've read some GREAT reviews of Kingmax, especially the tinyBBG RAM (which this isn't BTW). Nonetheless, most say that they typically rate their memory very conservatively and better timings and/or speeds are very possible. This price is unbeatable! The error reports are scary though...

Yeah, I can't say I'm ever really likely to notice the performance hit. I'm getting good scores in the benchmarks that count for its typical use as a HTPC for my monivision (5119 in 3DMark2003 w/ my softmodded 9500np). I guess it's just frustrating that I got slightly less than I expected...

Yeah, it's two 256MB sticks, and yes, they were purchased as a dual channel pair. Unfortunately, however, they were purchased online and would require an RMA. I honestly don't know if its BH-5 or CH-5, but can't seem to manage either of those timings.:(
