Anyone lost hardware due to static electricity?

I had a Viewmaster too! I was in Target the other day and was really surprised that they still sell them! :Q I almost got one for old-time-sake but changed my mind. Ha ha ha.

POLL: Best way to "upgrade" a Windows OS?

After doing my first computer set up and trying to upgrade my existing HD from Win Me to XP, I found that reformatting and doing a fresh install was the way to go. I got a lot of advice from this board about doing it that way and haven't had any problems -THANKS- :D

I just read your post and am having a similar problem. I installed XP over Me (actually tonight I am going to have to re-do it because I didn't format my drive right). But I noticed the screen is a little fuzzy however certain things are really crisp. Unfortunately I don't have an answer...

What did you score on your SATs, if you remember?

I can't really remember but the number 980 keeps coming to mind, but then I think, did I really do that bad -probably. I took the ACT too and got a 23. I know I was horrible at math (damn those fractions...and what's up with the letters?) but I graduated with a 3.4 GPA somehow.

I bought a floppy drive last night and made the boot disk but ...sigh... I don't know what FDISK is. I'll look around the board to see if there's any posts. Edit: I searched around some more and found out that I don't need the FDISK or boot disk. I guess I can just configure the BIOS to boot...
