    the hypertransport link of ur cpu is 1600mhz for sure, but it really depends on ur mobo. so far the fastest ht link is 1000mhz.

    Blew up my 1st computer, need help!

    dude, 40C isnt hot enough to burn everything in the case, my case temp is 36C, cpu is 55C when it's loaded under a stock hs and fans with 3 case fans, forget to say, my cpu is athlon2500+. i suspect the 1.85vc is the main problem, and the cpu may have been burned off already.

    my cpu is at 45C(idle) and 57C(load) temp now, i expect 10 more degrees increased if i oc it to 3200+. that's why i want a new cooling system. thanks for u link of ram anyway.

    wat?? 9500pro has slower memory and GPU than 9600pro but 4 more piplines, which makes IT a big difference when u r playing game in the high resolution.

    hmm, as u mentioned that u didnt partition the harddrive. i think u should go get a Dos promot cd, then go into bios choose one of ur cdrom as ur first boot, put dos cd into it, then u can load into dos. once u r in the dos, type fdisk, then choose yes, then 1, then blah blah blah, then u r able...

    Let me tell u this pal, is it EXTREMELY impressive to increase the pipline 20% from AthlonXP's 10 stages to Athlon64's 12 stages and totally BEAT whatever Prescott and Notthwood P4 in most benchmarks while stupid Prescot only can catch up with Northwood?? :beer::clock:

    1. 939 pin A64 will stay dual channel ddr but unbuffered memory instead of buffered registereted memory. 2. still 128bit dual channel compared to 754's 64bit single channel. 3. remains 3 HyperTransport links compared 754's only 1. 4. save ur bunch of money on expensive registereted memory. :P

    I was on FIC once, that MB was a no-work. heard a lot about it..... the major brand like ASUS, Abit, MSI is right choice. u spent $540 already, why don't u wait a couple days, and spend $30 more for a better board?
