I didnt' find a solution.. but it's weird how you can't get the NVTV tuner to work. All other messages I have read posted up on teh web indicate that the ATI Theater550 PRO card is the one that is incompatible with Gigabyte Nforce4 boards.

Gurck, in my research on the forums I notice you are totally anti-ipod.. I'm pretty sure I'm under understating that a bit :) I totally get that you hate the Ipod. But the reviews I read don't indicate any of the players you mentioned are better than the ipod and many are even worse.
1) Only need MP3 support. It's the only format that i'm (relatively) sure that will insulate me if I jump ship to another player in the future.

I'm thinking of using my motherboard's onboard RAID 5 controller to setup a RAID for my HTPC. Accoridng to review's I've read, the onboard solution didn't suffer from the performance degradation that was expected, so this is a really cheap way for me to get RAID 5.

Thanks everyone. I'm a bit confused though about this "rebuild" functionality. I don't really need hotswap ability for this.. If there is a failure, I'm okay with shutting the whole RAID down, getting a new drive and plugging it in and having it rebuild.

Thanks! My NF4 chipset is passively cooled, so it gets pretty hot, probably even too hot to touch after awhile. Way hotter than your actively cooled chip that's for sure. That's why I'm having hard time believing that my NF4 chip corresponds to Temp2, which is 32 celcius only..feels way...

I wouldn't midn seeing a review either.. i'm particularly interested because it's an Ultra board, non-SLI and has passively cooled chipset. Seems perfect for my HTPC.

Thansk for the info.. I have the motherboard sent out for RMA so i shoudl get a replacement next week sometime. From what I recall, I was getting 11.75V on the 12V rail.. is that sufficient? This is what the bios is reporting. But again, I'll have to put the system back together to be sure...
Looks like ZipZoomFly isn't going to be able to take this motherboard back, but they are willing to send me a replacement for me to try.. I guess I'd go that route and try this again with a replacement board.

While I agree that new products have problems, the sheer number and type of problems that people are reporting (including myself) is far too many. the bios and motherboard just aren't polished enough.
