LG L227WTG - backlight bleed

Please do, I ended up keeping mine. I rarley notice the light while gaming and it was only when the screen was dark. just finished playing fear and it didn't bother me. I did end up lowering the brightness quite a bit...i think I put it from 100 (factory) to around 50.

I dig it....Nothing really special added from '07....graphics are better. I design courses for it and the lack of support EA has given the PC is a little dissapointing. We're still using the '06 course architect to make '08 courses : ( ..... but it's working.

[Retired] The LCD Thread

Ok...so the LG L227WTG is #1 gaming monitor.....How does the LG 2252TQ stack up against it. I did a side by side comparison from LG's site and only differences I could see were the 227 had some color gamut domination thing and 16.7 mil colors to 16.2 million in the 2252. The 2252 is $80.00...

4x1 gig Geil running in sinngle channel

I just finished my build last week: E8400 EVGA 780i 9800GTX 4x1 Geil DDR2800 xp home coolermaster 1000w antec900 my memory, according to CPUz, is running in single channel. XP is showing all 4gigs there, 2.5 something available.... Any ideas why it would be running in single...

9800 GTX Reviews Thread

Would this make a good gaming LCD monitor?

For what its worth, my brother has the 20wg and it looks great....watched him playing gears of war the other day and I was surprised how good it looked for a sub $200 monitor. For close to $300...that 24" looks like a great deal.

Final suggestions?

Snatch that Antec 850w at Comp Usa $129.95 after rebates.....I think the quality 850w or higher is a smart move for future upgrades.....especially at that price.....fo sho.

Activating Vista w/o internet connection

Thanks for input folks...... My "plan" is to use this new rig for gaming only and my old rig for internet, burning game updates, driver updates etc. I guess I'll see how it goes, I thought it might be cool to avoid having Norton, Zonealarm, AVG, Spybot etc etc etc on my gaming...

Antec 900 with a 520hx...problem??

I have the 900 case sittin on my floor and looking at the 520 on newegg, it should work fine. You may only be able to get 2 of the 4 screws in but it isn't gonna fall anywhere : ) Don't put the fan down however if thats what you were thinking.....

question on 6pin/8pin connectors

Thanks for the help Mpilch.... Turtle, I think the Psu we are considering is plentyto power the GTS as it has 56amps total. My main concern was it only has (2) 6 pin PCI conectors. This is fine for the GTS, even in sli, but if you were to upgrade to a GTX/Ultra or some future card that...

Is my Videocard dying?

I had a 6800 Ultra that did exactly that about a month ago.....I don't think it's heat, I think it's dying. I had to replace mine and got a 7800 GS from New Egg for about $100.00. You might want to start shopping.....

So I played Painkiller when it came out and then uninstalled it. I just picked up the expansionmand now when I try to install painkiller it gets to what seems like the end of the first CD but instead of Insert Disk 2 it says setup incomplete and if I retry it goes to same spot with same error...

comp hangin on setup screen

I just put a new hard drive in my computer: amd 1800+/epox 8kha+/ wd 40 gig 7200 with windows xp. Everything was fine and the computer booted into xp numerous times. I had to put a new dial up card in it and now it hangs on the set-up screen and says F1 to continue Del to enter setup but...

find out how far you live from their "CO" (central office?). I'm paying $50.00 for a 1.5 down but getting 768 cause a live so far from the CO. Of course no one explained this to me and they are unwilling to credit me or let me out of my contract...EARTHLINK

Why are the Techs at COMCAST so damn stupid??

heh, the grass isn't always greener......I've had nothing but trouble with my earthlink DSL. I paid for 1.5mb connection that is currently running at 612(or something close to that) because of constant dissconnects. Even the covad guy couldn't figure out what was wrong. At least with Cable...

Please help me debug this annoying 6800 Ultra Issue...

Have you checked with BFG to see if they have a newer bios for the card. I was having having issues with my EVGA 6800 U on both Nforce & via chipsets. The latest BIOS solved my frustrating sound loop freezes.

Need to uprgrade CPU if geting 6800ultra?

minimun system requirements for my EVGA 6800 ultra is a 2Gig P4 or AMD =...also what kind of power supply do you have. You need to make sure it's at least 420 watt..

I had the same problem with a 6800 ultra. Used the same line for both connectors and had all sorts of artifacts. The Ultras definitly need seperate connectors.

Well I figured it out, I'm just not sure exactly what was wrong because I tried 3 fixes at once. I tried: 1) Changing my boot order back to floppy first, I had it on CDrom 2) New floppy cable 3) Different boot disk I wish I would have tried one at a time so I'd know which it was...

I did dir A: and format was not one of the programs. Should it give me the same list of programs if I do Dir A: with the boot disk in or with the boot disk out. Mabey the floppy is bad. SHouldn't the floppy light flicker when the the system fires up. There is currently no OS installed...

can't format HD....

trying to install windows 98 on a co-workers computer. I ran fdisk and deleted old partition with ME installed on it, created/activated a new partition. Rebooted with 98 startup/floppy disk and typed format C: at the A prompt. I keep getting bad command. Any ideas whats up. I've tried 2...

my +12V rail is 11.308 volts.

Check your bios to verify that reading. ASUS probe showed my 12V rail to be 11.3, but the the bios reads 11.98.
