I don't agree that 2.8 vDimm is enough. Yes you can get a nice OC with 2.8 but for $200 + I want the bleeding edge. Not to mention that OCZ has just come out with some voltage extreme stuff that looks like fun. I have OCZ rev 2 and I wish my old mobo would support at least 2.9, only 2.7 vDimm...
How are we suppose to check the specs on the DFI Nforce4 since it's not released yet? I was wondering about the vDimm on the asus since Anandtech actually has a board in their hands? The one thing nice about the asus is the generous spacing in their sli setup.
Let's get down to the nitty gritty. Sorry a discussion about price is boring. What I want to know is the real specs about this board. How much vDimm will this board allow the user to set? Max vDimm can handle with ocz booster? And I wish someone would answer the xp-120 compatibility question...
I would not go with the 712, I would wait a week or two and go with the 716. You can already preorder it on buy.com for about $130-140. About the media I am not sure since I am waiting for the 716 to delve into dvd burning.
That 3d mark score does seem alittle low I got a new BBA Radeon Pro 128mb about a month ago and it scores in the 5700's out of the box with no tweaking what so ever.I am running 3.8's.
I have been enjoying a new Radeon 9800 pro the last couple of weeks. I have really enjoyed playing games like Halo and Max Payne 2. Just got done downloading call of duty and will give that a wurl, although after reading one of the forums in here Battlefield 1942 might be much better. I know X2...
I have a Fx5200 and was having similar problems with drivers from nividia. Everytime I would go into the driver options my screen would flash, I would get booted off while playing some games. So the best driver for the Fx 5200? Their isn't one, I went out and bought a BBA Radeon 9800 pro and...
Waiting is for the birds. I just bought a BBA Radeon pro 128 and am having a Blast playing games like Halo and Max Payne 2. You can always wait for the greatest, I will have played a dozen great games in splendid beauty by the time april comes around. But if you do upgrade now,and are worried...
Evan what about the fact that ASUS has it's own utility, smartdoctor for overclocking," ASUS? Smart Doctor software, the latest version shipping with the ASUS RADEON 9800 XT acts as a hardware monitoring utility with dynamic overclocking. It will be interesting to see how this compares to ATI?s...
I agree the article was a great example of detication on the part of anandtech trying to provide us with the best possible information, I commend you. I am very curious to find out how the new 3.8 catalyst perform as well as the new ASUS 9800XT. Is it possible that they can build a better board...
I hope this dosn't sound like too stupid of a question. What do you think about hooking up a 9800XT to a 32 inch Sony High Definition telivision with a DVI connection. Would it provide excellent picture for gaming at higher resoulutions? I am new to computer gaming, I have my PS2 hooked up to my...
Sorry about that I need to stop hitting the enter key. Anyway, I think that the asus or sapphire boards offer alot more then the ati one.

I think the price is going to be the same. The asus card has a GREAT bundle as does the sapphire, <----- has a FULL copy of HL2 when its released, not sure about asus. When I say full I mean multiplayer functions as well. These to also has video in capability like the all in wonders. Can't wait...
I was wondering if anyone out there knew when this great card will be on the market. I would like to purchase this card ASAP and I can't find it anywhere.
I have enjoyed reading everyones opinions concerning ati's video cards, know I would like a little advice. I just built a new computer and I want to replace my nvidia fx 5200(128mb)(pci) in approximently 3 weeks. I am looking foword to playing HL2 and Final Fantasy 11. After reading tons of...
