    Definitely a bios reset needed. With these types of mobos you gotta try it a few times, I know from personal experience, you need to turn the PSU on then take a flat screwdriver and short those two points a few times to make sure, then turn the PSU off then back on and try to boot. D

    granted, but you said spi is better than prime at stress testing and that isnt so first hand experience: my p4 will run spi at 3.4, but will fail single prime at that speed D

    on a HT CPU you need to run dual prime, dual prime in blend will fight for ram and wont use the cpu at 100% to test the ram he needs to run memtest D

    The P4 3.2 and the 540 are pretty much the same cpu as far as I know, the only difference being the first is s478 and the second is lga775.     since its an lcd I wouldnt change the refresh from stock, it probably doesnt change much anyway Im no expert, but IMO you shouldnt worry about running games at lower resolutions, my lcd's native resolution is also 1280, but I run most games at 1024 D
