Using 2 routers for stronger home network security?

Thermalright xp-120

My reasoning was that SPCR reviews have found that the XP-120 performed better. Also the 120mm fans made by Nexus are very quiet. Take note of the motherboard chipset issue with nforce4. I opted for the Asus A8N SLi Deluxe over the DFI because, with the DFI, the graphics card sits right on top...

Nforce4 standalone drivers? Or nforce unified?

Yes, standalone nforce4 but I wouldn't remove any previous chipset drivers first - just install new ones on top. Video drivers are different, you should remove previous versions.

You might want to consider the total noise level generated by all your components. The XP-120 plus Nexus 120mm fan will do a good job with your CPU. But you should consider the graphics card, motherboard chipset and power supply as additional problems if you want cool and quiet...

If you haven't done so already, you should look at that thread on SPCR that I linked to above. Some people have had success by uninstalling (not disabling) the external drive from within Device Manager before they power it down.

A8N-E noise

Look for the massive thread on A8N SLi chipset fan replacement. The A8N-E has the same layout as the SLi (minus a few components missing) and the same noise issue.

There are mounting holes on the motherboard designed for fitting chipset heatsinks and the Zalman comes with the parts necessary to install it. You do not need the pins from the Asus fan. Don't know about the Vantec.

Fair enough, this is a bigger issue. Personally, I would prefer not to go above 1.55V because of heat, noise and component life but for some people this is an annoying restriction.
