Doom 3 = disappointment

I would be pissed off too if I had built a new sys to play this mediocre game. Fortunately, the system I built 6 months ago to play Max Payne 2 (worth every penny), can run D3 well.

Yeah, I called Union Square CC yesterday twice. In the morning they said they didn't have it in stock, in the afternoon, they said it was sold out. I called CC in Brooklyn, Atlantic Center, and they had it in stock so I went there and picked it up. There didn't seem to be a demand for them at...

What the hell! You're right. I purchased the game and couldn't get it to install. I kept getting: "Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDM for more information" So I go to the Activision support link and one of their fixes is a manual...

DOOM 3 IS OUT NOW! EARLY RELEASE!!!

OUCH. I feel for you. Just came back from Chelsea NYC BB. They didn't get it in stock yet. A customer service guy confirmed that some BBs in the midwest were already selling, but that that store may not have it until Aug. 5! Damn, I may as well pre-order, I save $10 bucks and get it earlier...

I hear you. It's totally worth getting the day of release rather than having it shipped to save a few bucks and risk dying without ever playing this game. Besides, I don't want to be the only one on my block playing Midnight Club 2 on August 3rd, while everyone else is rocking with D3.

Anyone have experience with the onboard sound for the AI7? Is it decent or would I have to drop an audigy in it?
