PocketPC: Quality of Internet experience??

For light stuff, the expeience is fine. It is just like using IE but smaller. Once you get used to it, it is fine for sports scores, whether, trivia research and the likes. You just get a little tired of scrolling!

I never thought we would see they day.... .50 a gig! When I was just a whippersnapper.... In my day..... We walked uphill both ways in the snow to pay $500 a gig and liked it! How will I ever fill a gig drive? Oh wait that was like only 10 years ago!

Yeah, that disk & volume RAID stuff can be confusing. Microsoft really want you to know it well for the MCSE exams, and I don't know why. IMHO I would use a hardware RAID solution anyways. The have come way down in price. They even have IDE ones now, and are built into alot of motherboards...

You can burn them to CD or DVD, but you cannot play them on your TV through DVD unless you somehow convert the files into VOB's. Standard DVD's don't play windows media files.

Windows 2003 Server, time

Have you installed Active Directory? The server that I have installed w/o AD has an internet time tab on the time control when I double click on my time in the corner of the screen. This allows me to sync with the time sources on the internet. The server that I am testing AD on does not have...

You get a username and password for the series, and that will allow you to view them. Once the DRM certificate is installed on your machine, you can watch all the videos without asking for anything again. I am not sure if you can install more than once. I don't see why not?

Windows 2003 can be used very well as a file and a print server. That's what it is made to do. May be overkill for home, but works great!

It's not really for home use, unless your testing it out for something. You could use it at home I guess. I mainly want to learn it for career advancement. There is not a whole lot of money in PC tech stuff, the real money is made by Sys Admins & Engineers. Those guys make twice what I do...

Question about hard drive speeds and performance...

RAID 0 does not decrease reliability. Where did you read that? It stripes the data across disks for performance. If you lose a drive, then yes you will lose all your data. But if you lose your drive in single hard drive, you will still lose your data. dpain

Question about printing while using Terminal Server.

You will need your system admin to install the proper matching windows 2000 drivers for your printer on the terminal server. Then it should work.

Try to just clear the AMEX Blue part off the end of your path statement so it looks like this: %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel; And see if that fixes your path statement. Then try pinging from the cmd. Also...

The settings for the laguage toobar are hidden is the Regional and Laguage control panel. Go to the Laguage tab, and then the details button. Then there is a langauge preference button in that dialog box. dpain

Which Cisco Router should I get?

Why not just get an IOS simulator software. It'll save you money, and you won't have to have extra equipment laying around. You really don't need the physical devices. IOS is just software anyway. Dpain

I have seen where installing some programs can screw up your path variable. Right click on your my computer icon and go to properties. From there, click on the Advanced tab, and the click the button on the bottom of the screen that says "Environment Variables" Make sure under the path...

3Com 3C905CX-TXM problem!!

Sounds like a short or something. With a problem like that with two different motherboards sounds like a bad card. Should not be any BIOS settings that would cause that. Dpain

Disapointed in my P4C800-E & 3.2Ghz P4..Anyone Else?

The lag bothers me because I have seen slower processors without the lag and with all the XP crap still turned on. Just knowing that the lag is there bugs me. I am anal... I know!!!! But it just should not be there, so why should I be satisfied with it? Dpain
