This is a great laptop. However, I just got the 3250HX (same specs but w/ 80gig HD) at Circuit City for 899$ after rebates. So, it's not a bad deal but you probably could find a bit better if you waited a bit.

Regarding FX5200 vs. BB ATI 9600np:
My friend got the former and I got the latter; with a P4 1.8Ghz w/ 512 DDR, he benched ~8fps on Game 2 of 3dMark2003 on 1024x768 max detail no AA etc. etc. (default settings)
with my 1.3 Ghz AMD thunderbird and 640 mb SDR, I got about 17 fps.

I try to watch a divx movie with powerdvd. After around 10-30 minutes first all video in windows freezes while sound continues for about 10 seconds then monitor goes black, indicates that it has lost connection with video card. I can still hear the sound of the movie playing in the background...
Hey, gotta agree with you, except that if/when I get this 9600, I'll be selling my gf3ti200 to a friend for 20$ good deal for him, 50$ 9600 for me. I'm thinking the 9600, even though it ain't the pro will be able to handle half-life 2 better in terms of features. opinions?

Although the print ad (got it this morning) lists the 9600 under weekly specials, I checked the rebate online and it's only valid from 11/27-11/29. So don't think you can wait and get the card later in the week, b/c it really is a BF deal, though it's not on the front page (6AM-Noon section)...
I remember last bf I think bb had most of its stuff online by around 3 oclock on the morning of. I stayed up until midnight and they didn't have it. Ended up going to B&M anyway.
Bought these about a month ago. For 28.49$ shipped, more than worth it. I don't see how these are any different from the $49.99 EX71's at Best Buy. These buds can't compare to the ER's my friend has, but they work well if you listen to a clean cd. With lower bitrate stuff I get distortion...

according to the page where the deal is, it only has resolutions of

even though it's advertised at 3.3 mega pixels
however, it did mostly get good reviews and I haven't seen any mention...
