I have been slowly putting together components for the new computer I'm building for my son from deals I have found and I'm down to the motherboard and would like to hear recommendations from you guys. Won't be doing much overclocking and just need a board with two PCI-E 16x slots and compatible...
I absolutely love the case. It is a BIG case though. Much bigger then my old Antec Sonata. Glad I got the Thermaltake power supply. They have really long cables. I could see a problem with a power supply with shorter cables reaching the top 5.25 inch drive bay.
The only real problem I had...
Got my IP 35-E up and running. Seems it did not like my OCZ memory. Would not boot until I changed memory voltage to 2.1. Updated bios to beta 13 and solved double boot issue. Very stable right now. Haven't tried overclocking yet. Paid less then $70 for this board and less then $600 for...
Your right. Just go to any garage sale and you can pick up all the free weights you want. Not to mention all the exercise equipment someone bought off those infomercials.
This was reviewed in our local paper recently and according to the reviewer, it was a total waste of money. You could get the exact same response from it even if you barked into it yourself. If is was $10 then it would be a great gag gift, but for $99, it has sucker written all over it.
Got the BB Lite-ON DVD $79 burner. Best thing was I didn't have to stand in line. Checked their internet site and they were offering the same deals as in-house, with free shipping.
Thanks. I have been waiting for a decent deal on the new XT series. With free shipping and no tax it was as cheap or cheaper then I could have gotten the 9600 pro locally. :D
Isn't that the truth. Hardly even middle of the line crap. I have my new cpu built and just waiting for a video card and I havent seen a decent deal on one yet. Tried to get the 129 AR deal at Crapusa but after ordering it online for instore pickup, I got there and they were of course out of...
Saw this add for a Gecube 9600 Pro but on the box is says Lite. Is there a difference between this one and the standard ATI 9600 Pro? It says it has 400MHz core speed.

Who is going to have these for that price? I've been holding out for the 9600XT but have given up hope they will be available anytime soon for a decent price. For $70 I might go ahead and get the NP and wait a few months on...
The Compusa 9600 is sold out. I even ordered it to be picked up in the store last week and got there and was told they were out of stock. Don't think the CC one is the pro model. How does a 256mb np card match up to a 128 pro?
I HATE CompUSA. I ordered the ATI 9600 Pro online for $129 AR. I specified instore pickup and was told it was available. Drive 25 miles to the store and was told they didn't have it in stock. I will never shop there again. Guess I should have known better.
If I hook up my Antec case front panel audio connectors to the boards front panel audio connector, is it going to cancel out the standard rear connectors?
Okay memory experts. I haven't bought memory in quite a while and am totally confused. Just purchased an ASUS P4P800 w/2.6-800. Plan to use this machine for editing old videos and transfering them to DVD. Would I be better off getting a gig of slower PC3200 memory or 512 of faster PC3500 memory?
Okay memory experts. I haven't bought memory in quite a while and am totally confused. Just purchased an ASUS P4P800 w/2.6-800. Want dual (matching?) 512's. Recommendations? I do plan to use this machine to edit old videos and convert them to DVD.
