DNS lag at Windows start up?

If it happens on both computers then it has to be something with your router, especially if one is wired and other is wireless? You also reinstalled windows and the issue still occurs? Have you tried manually entering DNS into network properties instead of relying on the router for dns?

No Internet after Running Superantispyware

Turn off the modem and router if there is one. Remove the network adapter in device manager, shut the computer off. Power on the modem first, wait for it to be ready, then router if there is one, then the computer. More information would help, such as the answers to Motorheader questions.

Did you only test the hard drive by running a surface scan on it? When the freezing occurs, is the hard drive activity light running? Can you listen and feel the hard drive when this happens to see if the hard drive is doing anything? Could also try setting up performance monitor to see...

Sounds like you already disconnected power when putting on Megahalem, so that rules that out, unless you did it while still connected to power. :) Reset BIOS? Did you say it failed when attempting to run repair from Windows 7 disc? Or failed trying to load from backup hard drive...

Did you do a format before reinstall? Also was it working fine for awhile after the reinstall? Could check out the hard drive, go to Seagate website and download the Seatools diagnostic software and run it to see if it finds any issues.

Good yet cheap VOIP provider list?

Oh, I also can fax using ViaTalk without any issues, however I'm not paying extra for the fax services because it works fine for me over the regular line. That could be because of the fax machine I use to, so don't count on it working for everyone.

Trial an error. Use performance monitor to check to see if your cpu is spiking or hard drive access is occuring at same time as the freezes. Try it out wired directly to router. Try it out connected directly to cable modem. Those are some first steps to try, doesn't matter...
