suitable power supply

I need a 300W power supply so i went to get an antec 303px, however, the motherboard on this computer i am upgrading has a socket for a p2 powersupply connector. The p2 socket is right next to the p1 sockect (main power). Does anyone have any suggestions for a comparable 300W power supply...

HELP: Lock-up at "Verifying DMI Pool Data"

Had that prob once. Some one told me it was a bad boot sector on c:, so i fdisked, rebuild the partition, reformated, and all was well. It was a while back so if i'm wrong someone correct me :) so we can avoid an unecessary reformat

Thank the lord for this one, hehe, j/k guys, thx a bunch, worries over. Although degausing it, and repeated on/offs didn't cure it, turning it off for a few hours did :) hope this does not come back cuz i'll spaz again lol

Yep, i've shut down quite a few times. Didn't see a degause function tho, but i'm guessing the monitor degauses everytime you boot the pc? Now that i look at this imperfection more, it appears to be a purpleish, somewhat transparent blotch. It pretty huge, and looks terrible, hehe. Let me go...

In the q2 menu, i can choose video. Once the video option choosen there is no option to choose additional properties. Is there a console command to turn vsync off?

I checked cl_maxfps, it was set to 90 (still doesn't explain the 60 cap though) but i upped it to 999 for good measure. Also, how do you turn off vsync? I have 'sync every frame' in the video menu checked off as 'no', but i am not sure if this is the setting you are referring to as vsync. thx...

Q3A or UT ??

Loyalty is a crock of you know what. That said: I played tons of q2, about the only game i ever played, even though i tried Unreal and UT, they didn't grab me, nice games though, UT being much better than Q3A. Q3A disappointed me immensely as far a game play. Bought Q3A, hated it...

Old School Quake Two: Why am I capped at 60fps?

I am capped at 60fps. I don't have any cap commands in my auto exec, and don't believe that there are any set in the config file. How do I check for sure though. System is Tbird800@978, w/clap2, and monitor is set to 120Hz refresh rate. Q3A/RA3 gets about over 100fps, so the cap problem is...

Don't know about the atc100, but i bought an atc200 from the chipmerchant about a month ago and it is cool as hell (visually and otherwise). The price is something i dont really like to think about to much, but i gotta say im really happy with this case.

Q3 intensity and gl_modulate

Right on :) thx for the intensity command. yeah, i think the gl_modulate command is different than gamma, although gamma can be adjusted too, i guess adjusting as many of the 'brightness' settings in balance gives you a better looking display...so cool, if you run into a gl_modulate equivalent...

Both Quake2 and Quake3 run dark on default settings on my nvidia card. Now, you can crank up the brightness setting in game, and in Q2 i can use the commands intensity and gl_modulate to make it even "brigher" so that i dont have to crank up the brightness of the monitor to play and...

Front fan vs Rear exhaust fan!!!!!!!!

What is a good Mid Tower case that comes equiped with a front and rear fan setup? I know the Cooler Master 2000 comes with two front intake fans, and a rear and top blow out fans. Are there any cases that come with just the front and rear?
