Are you sure this is not the fluid dynamic version? According to Maxtor 80gb drives with "L" in the serial number denotes Fluid Dynamic Bearing Motors.

loose heatsink

Hello, I recently installed a FCPGA into a socket 370 mobo with a heatsink which appears to be loose. Is there a way for me to tighten the heatsink down without crushing the processor? It shimmies from side to side...and can be lifted off slightly. What are my options?

I solved the problem. I uninstalled the Gainward Expertool Utility program that came with the Gainward CD. It was causing the instability in running Quake III and Deus Ex. I was also successful in installing Giants Citizen Kabuto without a hitch. The system is stable...no more video problems. My...

I bought a Samsung 753DF. However, there is some progress with the situation. I was able to increase the refresh rate to 85 but when I try to play the Quake III or Deus Ex same old problem. I check the Direct X tool and it fails Direct X. Any patches out there for Quake III or Deus X? Or Giants...

Phillips Sound Cards $19.99 and $29.99 after MIR at Best Buy

I used an Acoustic Edge for a Thunderbird system I built. The card causes intermittent hangs with the computer and continuously loses driver properties. I don't recommend this card at all. Probably safer to spend the extra money and get an Audigy from NEWEGG.

KX 133 with PC 133 SDRAM

I have an ASUS KX133 with a 750mhz Athlon oc'd to 825. I have installed PC133 SDRAM from Kingmax, however when I boot up it shows as PC 100 in the BIOS display. Is it possible my settings in the BIOS are incorrect? Thanks

can I use existing telephone line to connect to my Hub?

I have a linksys hub networking 2 computers with Win98SE ICS, and I want to extend the network out of the room I have the existing network in. I can not access any type of crawl space, however, I have rooms with phone lines. I was wondering if I can crimp these phone lines into RJ-45 jacks...

Can I make my own Thermal Epoxy by mixing super glue with thermal paste?

Standby mode LNT100X NIC in Windows 98SE

Linking Linux and windows
