Solved: Trouble playing video files with AC3 audio in PowerDVD over SPDIF

Never mind, I solved the issue. It seems PDVD & ffdshow were competing. Put PDVD in the blacklist & all is right in the world.

Yes, everything for the sound card is set right. As I said, PDVD plays actual DVDs as it should through SPDIF, but when I try to play a video file with AC3 audio, it craps out.

I've been using PDVD for the last 3 years for all file types. This only started happening when I hooked my computer to my new receiver last night through the SPDIF out on my sound card.

New to E-reading

I use my iPod Touch with Stanza & get my books from torrents/newsgroups. Currently reading the Sword of Truth series this way & have done the same for the Harry Potter & Twilight series. Next I'll read the Dresden Files & then Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles.

Linksys WRT54G problems... can't admin my router

I have this router as well and have the updated firmware but have the same problem. Occasionally I can't access the admin page unless I unpllug the router or reset it. Anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

I'm barely starting to watch Season 6 of Smallville and I was wondering, what's the logic behind having both Shawn and Aaron Ashmore in the series? Shawn showed up in 2 seasons as a bad guy and now Aaron plays Jimmy Olson? Huh? Also, sorry if this was asked at the beginning of Season 6 but...

after checking today the spacing is much better in PIE with the default view.... no if only there was a way to get to the next page. the link doesn't act like an actual link.

Browsing from phone

Would you be able to create a WAP version of AT or something else that's able to be viewed from a phone using PIE/Opera mobile. Before the upgrade we were able to view the forums with no issues and now there are too many issues with it.

To my dismay as a mobile user....

It looks bad on my MDA using pIE. I can't view past page one on any topic and everything is cut off. This isn't cool because I normally view AT from my MDA. I really hope this all gets fixed.

I saw it last night and thought it was alright. I loved the special effects and Venom just looked awesome, right down to Eddie Brock's teeth. I did notice though that Mary Jane's answer machine message was different the second time, she didn't say "beep" right before the actual beep.

everyone else that has died so far was buried... so if they do come back to life they're just going to die again cuz they're stuck, so its an endless cycle. the patch guy was never buried, they just left him there.... that's my take on it anyway
