Recreating a Raid 1 Array with an unformatted disk

Thanks for your help guys, real quick do you have any ideas for free imagining software that will allow me to copy this drive and then restore it on the newly recreated blank drives. I am guessing something like ghost :X

What would you recommend to use for imaging a disk, hopefully a free solution, that will have network drivers installed so I can toss them on a different server for storage.

exactly ! with the bad drive out booting it with raid on wouldnt work! that's what really bothered me, it said bios not configed or something like that and then operating system not found.

I found out what it was!!!!! it was a bios and chipset issue. I guess according to asus the newest bios needs to have a newer chipset drivers alone with it or else it will cause problems. I am still cautious and investing in a NAS or MP3 server just so i can raid and get a peace of mind...

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well the 300 gig wont even post anymore :|, i hooked only it up and put the maxtor diagnostic disk and and it wont even identify the drive. As for the sound it wasnt comming from the drives but from the dvd burner :D even with no cd in it, its creepy. but yea...

Hmm, I will check that out when I get home from work, its obvious that i need to swap those two 120 gig drives out soon and grab two 400 gig's and just raid them. Money doesnt come close to piece of mind :D

I cant get all 4 to work at the same time, i just updated the bios again and got them all to work for like 5 min then the maxtor 300 gig just dissapeared. soo i unplugged it and now its the system drive and the two wd's data drive :| its possesseddddddd

i fixed my problem for now i think by downgrading the bios, it seems the new release -008 wasnt showing the ocz's 2-2-2-5 true speeds i hope you fix your problem mich cause we might have the same problems throughout and ill probably run into the same thing when i sli :|

Asus A8N-SLI New Beta Bios 1003-008!

it seems i ran into a problem, upon flashing to -008, my mem timings went up a notch from their usual 2-2-2-5 and i noticed a general slowdown using the ocz ram, this is what it gave me in cpu-z, i downgraded for now considered i cant handle the system hanging like that :| CPU-Z

Yea, the single video card option chip is inside the holder while the dual video card option is not connected to anything, and once again the video card is at the very top slot or first pci express slot on the motherboard

well mines not as great, on a normal nights charge i get maybe 2 days before the first bar goes down and another day till the second. Mind you i never turn it off, only when its not moving and turns itself off. ohhhhh well :P as long as its more than a day i can cope

Large CPU temperature spike.

hmmm thanks for the quick help guys, someone also told me that the pci graphics card puts a load on your cpu for some strange reason, mind you im running cs in open gl , soo maybe when the new 6600gt comes it will be lower, plus!!! the ati 7000 has a heatsink no fan :{ thanks for the help again!
