PC fans turn on and off

I replaced the PS and now all seems to be running fine. The fans all stop when power is turned off. Thank you for the suggestions.

Yes all fans CPU, video and case fans. CPU fan is plugged into the motherboard all others are plugged into the PS. I have not tried CMOS reset but will give it a try. Thanks for the reply

New build boots ok but no beep

The manual is very clear about where the speaker plug goes. I even tried flipping the plug around just in case I had the polarity wrong. I'm not positive but I think the speaker should work either way.

PSU - any recommendations?

Fortron and Sparkle are both good brands that don't cost quite as much as some of the others. Antec, Enermax, OCZ, PC Power & Cooling are quality power suppies but may cost a little more.

What is the best place to by pre-built desktops?

Have you considered building your system yourself. It is not that difficult, it is very satisfying and you can get lots of help here. I have built several systems, but still come back to the forum for a question or two. Just think about it, you'll like it.
