They would have to have 6 month old stock to have ball bearing drives. At these prices, that would be surprising. Since they are selling drives warranted from the manufacture date, they'd likely get complaints if they were selling drives who's warranties were already six months used up.

Just wanted to follow up and let everyone know that I got this pair of USB speakers, and added them to my system with an existing sound card, and it works just fine! I've got text to speech and system sounds going to the USB speakers, and a/v audio (like ouput from winamp, media player, etc.)...

Oh, I don't disagree with that. I have my own list of Voom concerns. ;) My only point was that StarzHD is already available... it can be seen on Voom now, as well as on some cable networks. I'm just trying to understand what the "available the 22nd" statement means, and where it came from.

If I had to guess, I would say one rebate period, for this drive. If you bought two, you'd have a quantity of two of the same product. It's probably the new way of saying you are only supposed to get one rebate, even if you submit from two different addresses.

I've had one of these in my TiVo for over a year (in addition to an 80GB Maxtor), and I'd say it's reasonobly quiet. TiVos don't need fast access speed, so you can leave the acoustic management turned on.
