Samsung ML1740 / ML-1740 paper feed problem

I've had the 1710 for 12,000 pages and not a problem, check to make sure that the metal clip is still on the printer tray...ie there should be a shiney piece of metal on center bit of the paper tray near the top.

If there was more than one boot...wouldnt there be another title line containing the date and time? The thing I'm concerened anout is that it says SP1 when I just installed SP2 just this past week; which may be the problem.

Basically I woke up and my computer was in a restart, and boot window screen cycle. Starts in safe mode, and system restore does nothing. Checked for spyware, had a couple of things, deleted and same problem. Started windows with boot log and heres what came up: Service Pack 1 4 25 2006...

Recover software raid?

Here's the problem. I had an alpha 21264 server with 4 scsi drives that were set up in a software raid. I hadnt used the thing in a while, but I guess the os drive died. I can;t get a copy of NT4 alpha anytime soon. I took the disks out, and need to remount them to recover the data somehow...

Safe mode has no problem booting up. It's xp. Seems to have the problem intermittenly(sp?), albeit often.

Any other ideas? I have had someone suggest that it was Service Pack 2 causing the problem, but the computer was built wit sp2 on it.

I have a Siemens computer with an Alpha 21264 that I picked up a while ago for free. It has windows nt 4 on it at the moment. I was wondering what kind of operating system this thing will run that is more today mainstream. Will xp-64 work? Or some variation of linux?

Burn in on 2005fpw?

I have a 2005fpw thats probaly under a year old, and I usually always have a pip window in my top right hand corner. I turned it off today to check the time on my mac, and I noticed theres a faint outline of where the window was. I thought that burn in was impossible on an lcd?

Block 'net, keep local network?

I have a customer who wants me to block all internet/aim acess from their sons, computer, yet keep local file sharing and network printing. I can do this with a firewall like zonealarm, but then the settings can be tampered with. Any password-protected programs that can do this?

Curious about this server I picked up....

It's actually a Siemens-Fujitsu also, in a solid metal case, not one bit of plastic on it. Weighs about 70lbs. Any ideas on an os for it?

Thinking about a Dell Ultrasharp 2005FPW? Think again.

I have a first revision panel-although it's has a slight backlight problem, there are no dead pixels, and it's barely noticeable whil playing a full screen movie. It is miles ahead of my old crt.

I just put together a system for a friend, right now it's here for 24 hours to iron out the bugs. Temp at full load is 56-61C. It's using the stock coooler, and the Case is a Thermaltake Shark. It seems to me like something is a bit wrong here-the temp seems too high. ANy suggestions? There...

Well, I just talked to him. He said go with the 754, mainly because he doesnt plan on upgrading it ever. They basically buy a new computer every four years and then pass them down.
