Yeah thanks for the suggestion mariok2006 I just didn't say anything before but I've been reading up on the monitor. I pretty much narrowed it down to a Hyundai L90D+, a SyncMaster 930B and a SynchMaster 915N. Now I just gotta find which is the best. Thanks
Well the price isn't really the issue. The whole issue I had was that I thought 19" LCDs don't support 1280x1024 natively so the image sometimes looks stretched and distorted.
I have a particular 17" LCD in mind but not sure if I should go with a 19". I recently lost my 21" CRT so 17" seems like a dramatic change for me and the fact thats its from CRT to LCD adds to it. Pretty much going to be used for gaming only and fast-paced games so I'm not even sure if the LCD...
This is what I found but I coudn't find anything for the driver before this one so I was just hoping for something to pretty much downgrade the driver.

sorry for my inexperience with this but can you elaborate on recovery console? I also tried to run it from start up and bootloader ends up coming up before even after I change boot configuration settings to CD-ROM first.
Eh so my attempt to run Mandrake on my newest machine was unsucessful unfortunately seems like it happened because of my graphics card. Well I installed LILO booloader on the first partition of the HDD when I was installing Mandrake. But now I want to get rid of the bootloader through winXP...
Well I tried both the ideas above and I still have no solution to my problem. I could always end up getting another 20 gb HDD.
O_O Just checked newegg.com and the 20 GB hard drives are just 1 dollar less then the 40... thats a bit odd
I heard some bad things about the upgrade XP version and really I'm not trying to spend any cash on this. If it really comes down to the bottom line maybe I will
This I know. It is a horrid OS but its not going to be my PC and I'm not going to waste my 200 to get XP Home. Its not worth it for what its going to be used for
I had Mandrake 9.2 on an old computer really because I was sick of not being able to find the PCI drivers for my motherboard which Windows couldn't install so I used Mandrake and it worked fine. But now that I actually found the drivers I can't install Windows again. Whenever the ME install asks...
This is really my first time experience with any Linux OS so I can't do anything. I had to install Mandrake under text mode because something was wrong with the picture under graphical installation. Now I'm having a bit of a problem with it though, I don't mind login under text mode but I would...
I pretty much had the same feelings and I decided not to buy it. The fact I cheap hearing of all these problems that they are having with the game is keeping me away from it. Although I have to admit the demo was pretty exciting.
Never bought software for my pc online (that i could remember). Nor have I bought anything from tigerdirect so i'll just ask. Will it actually make it to my door still in the factory seal and usable?
I asked this on another forum and they came to no conslusion that actually helped. I pretty much only notice it on yahoo.com but that isn't the only site that it happens on. I have Google Toolbar and Norton Internet Security and those don't seem to be the problem because I have turned them both...
Even though you guys helped me I couldn't get me to run, someone lost my product key. Now I am off to go crazy trying to look for it. One question though for Friday, does that disk work for any OS because thats a nice little thing to have if you don't have a format disc.
-->edit<-- woo I got...
How would I go about doing that though? And what I meant when I said booting through BIOS was installing ME before Windows booted when I turned on the computer. Probably not the best description sorry for the inconvenience.
Just wanted to know. Never bought PC parts online and was looking for a good place to buy from so why not ask the more experienced ones in this subject.
Having a bit of problems with an old Dell my parents want to use. The computer itself is working fine other then it not wanted to connect to my network but thats simple to fix and fix the storage problem I have with it too. I just simply reformat but here comes the problem... The damn machine...
Thanks for the help guys. Unfortunately Dell doesn't want me to add anymore fans so I don't have any 3 pin connectors other then my CPU fan. I guess I'll just have to go with a 4 pin with a fan controller.
I know understand the 4 pin connector and how that works but how do I know and where would the 3 pin connectors on my mobo be? And sorry I can't give you any specifics on the mobo this pc was bought directly from Dell.
I never modded a pc before now have a had a pc with more then the PSU fan and the CPU cooling fan so I wouldn't know this answer. Can someone tell me what are the ways to power a fan that is modded into the case?
