Just saw this, thanks Sid, unfortunately I shut down the folders and went back to D2ol for a while. We could use some more crunchers here if anyone could help out, there have only been two of us working on this project for many months now.
I went to the electronic market the other day to price some computer items and found out that things are much cheaper to buy in the USA, an Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard costs about $100 more over here. I looked for SSD drives and could not find many at all, it appears that they really do not have...
The weather here is actually cool, in the upper 40's F, it's a good thing I brought my warm jacket. Last year I was here at the same time and it was even colder.
I'm on vacation everyone and left for China on Wednesday, I went back to visit my sweety. I'm writing from Shenzhen which is over the boarder from Hong Kong. I left all the computers on at home and hope they all keep running without any problems. I'll return on February 11th, keep on crunching...
I just received a gtx 260/192 and put it in the q9300 in the basement and turned the fan up to 100%, it's hitting 50c. It's crunching a 5014 work unit and fahmon says it's hitting 7540ppd.
If anyone's looking for a good firewall you could try Comodo. I've been using it for awhile now and find it much better than zonealarm, it's also free.
Check out Sysprep it's a very useful app. You could reinstall windows on the harddrive, copy over the saved files and then run sysprep and put the HDD in your sisters computer.
Why would it matter if you were the only one working on a project? Sometimes that's how it goes, look at EON and Majestic 12. Up until July 1st I was the only one working on those projects. Look at D2OL, there are only 2 of us working on that project.
Just my 2 cents.
Last night I had sbqueue run without it auto transmitting blocks and when I flushed in the morning it said that it transmitted 4 of 4 blocks, that can't possibly be right as SOB is running on 4 cores. Should it not have transmitted a lot more than 4 blocks? I'm a little confused here.
It's been a long time since I ran SOB and have started to use SBQueue again but I'm wondering if I should have each client return each block to the queue one at a time or should it be 10 or more returning to the the queue each time?
