    Teacher sends nudes to student

I have the idea that people in positions of authority over minors should all be held to the same accountability....Which technically is essentially the gender equality in charges and sentencing the other guy was inferring.

    Teacher sends nudes to student

"***** want equality" gets edited for being misogynistic.... Then comes the bikini picture where posters are allowed to be sexist and objectify her. Only on the internet.

Why do people think a war is necessary to take a country's oil?

You obviously aren't familiar with the petrol dollar. We don't go to war in the ME to get their oil... We go there to ensure the petrol dollar is protected at all costs... because it is based on the US dollar. If the dollar loses influence in the world then the US gov't will have a really hard...

Oil change interval: Use the manual's, or the car computer's, or oil manufacturer's recommendation?

The computerized indicators have gotten way better. On our 2005 it was mostly just a mileage counter. On my 2012 F-150 the oil life sensor is more advanced. Manual calls for oil change interval potentially between 7500 and 10,000 miles on an 8 quart capacity. I only put about 5k miles a year...

    Fuel stabilizer ?

Don't worry about it. I usually put stabilizer in my bike over the winter... last winter it sat for almost five months filled with Premium and it was fine. I still ran some injector cleaner through it... It also now hasn't been run for about three months -- sitting on a battery tender though.

Anyone have long term experience with an epoxy garage floor?

I did the Behr one part finish and over the years it has gotten some tire pick up and it has had some chemical spills that caused it to bubble... Cheap enough to over coat... no issues.

Any portable DC tire inflator actually not suck?

I have the 330p ViAIR. You get what you pay for. Everyone in our 4x4 club has them and they allow us to air back up a 33 or 35 inch tire pretty rapidly... I imagine airing up a typical car or truck tire is pretty quick. Yeah they get hot, but the Viairs are built for it. Paid like $147 for...

    Craigslist ****boxe's

Sold ours to my best friend... Still ride in it. :) After he bought it, a few months later the water pump went bad and one of the solenoids or sensors in the tranny went bad... Go figure. Fixed it and it's been solid for him for the last 10 months or so. Before I sold it to him...Fun part...

Making DIY oil changes easier . . . are these products reliable, though?

Fumoto all the way... Have them on all my vehicles. HUndreds of thousands of miles over many years now. Never a leak/failure. I use the ones with the nipple. I hook up a tube, drain them right into my oil jug for recycling. THe only mess I have now is in changing the filters. They do drain...

    Craigslist ****boxe's

Facebook Marketplace is a shit show too. The amounts people ask for their shitboxes is entertaining. CL still seems to be the home of the scammers too. I've seen some jeeps I've been looking for way below market value as of late. Oh... and Hi Butch! How's the Malibu?

Winter-specific rims and tires or no, what sayest thou?

When I lived in central NY I ran snows on the rear of my truck... Huge difference in traction... Should have ran them on the front too. You can have the best all season tires and they are still crappy compared to the modern snow tires we have available to us today.

Nit-picking as I plan my radiator-flush and hose replacements

My last truck was a Dodge Dakota which I replaced after 13 years (bought new) of ownership. Never had to replace a single hose after 120k miles. Our last car was a 2005 Chevy Malibu we just replaced after 13 years and 113k miles. Only hose I had to replace was at 12 years and it was a small 5/8...

    Calibrating torque wrench?

I have two... so sometimes I test one against the other... Owned one for 8 years and the other larger wrench for about three years. Rules of thumb for torque wrenches... - Don't buy dirt cheap - I bought kobalts and they've been fine. - Always set the wrench back to "Zero" after use. Do not...

2012 F-150 here with 42k miles... Nearly 15k of those miles towing - though many of those towing miles are long distance versus short around town heavy braking. 8000 pound trailer, and I'm pretty close to needing new rotors (turned once already) and new pads. *Live salt free in NC foot hills...

Does the national debt worry you?

True... As long as the US Dollar is the world's reserve currency and as long as the petrol dollar is based on the US Dollar then we can spend what ever the fuck we want for the most part. They love to plat that polarizing democrat and republican debt thing against us, but none of them reduced...

Discussion The Incel issue and ways to fix them.

Uhm... You realize that women do the same thing right? They have some standards for men or young men too. Must be this tall, must have this type of job, drive this kind of car... Seen it all. The difference is, women have far more free agency to sleep with whom they want. I can place any number...

    Car overheats sometimes

Yeah... I'm going to go with thermostat. Had that happen before. You'd better fix it before it blows your head gasket due to overheating and the pressure that is built up in the blocks coolant passages from overheating.... $5 thermostat makes for a very expensive head gasket replacement. GM...

Seeking Advice on wiring a Mictuning "Magical" M1 19" light-bar

Barrel fuses are so 1975 man.... Please just create a new circuit for the main 12 volt feed to the light bar. Try not to piggy back onto another circuit as they are not designed to take another 9amp of load. For the relay switching, use a home run to the battery with 12 gauge wire. Why? 10...

Seeking Advice on wiring a Mictuning "Magical" M1 19" light-bar

Nah those switches are in the right price ball park. Just please use a fused relay and fuse the triggers feeding the switches. Seen too many fires and melted switches from people who like to take shortcuts with their vehicle wiring.

Seeking Advice on wiring a Mictuning "Magical" M1 19" light-bar

So that light bar is rated at 108 watts total. That is 9 amps ( 108 watts / 12 volts). So use the relay that came with the light bar and have a ten amp fuse on the circuit. As for the switches, if you look at the diagrams you can see what posts are the actual switch and which one is the lamp...

If 4 valves per cylinder is better than 2 valves...

Four valves over two because they are trying to optimize fuel/air mixture to the cylinder. Adding more valves has likely diminishing returns to the effect. My 1986 Yamaha Fazer had 5 valves per cylinder... Think about how compact an inline four cylinder bike is and how small those valves were.

Sen. Warren proposes to cancel student loan debt

Studies have shown that community college have better levels of instruction than four year colleges and the funny thing about community college is that you can go for two years, and then transfer to a four year school. My nephew did just that. He is the only one of my eight nieces and nephews...

Sen. Warren proposes to cancel student loan debt

No to #1. Can give countless examples of high school kids who weren't in the top 10%-20% of their class who were far more intelligent and far better off in life ten+ years down the road. Grades are not the best indicator of potential - only an indicator that one can take a test and test well.

Sen. Warren proposes to cancel student loan debt

So... Her plan is nothing but a give away to the wealthy and better off. 25-30% of our population have degrees. Degrees that on average will potentially earn them $1 million more in their lifetime than a high school grad... And we want to reward them. If are one of those people bitching about...

Recommend a Welder for Home Exhaust Repairs?

Kamala Harris proposes up to $6,000 credit for families

I consider myself conservative but by most standards more likely a moderate. I was against the tax cuts as they weren't deficit neutral - though I have no complaint about the extra $$$ in my take home which was a nice bump at my pay range. I'm against this as well... Especially handing out $$$...

Brake fluid flush - when is it necessary?

Eh... Only vehicle I have that mandates a flush schedule is my bike... Every two years. Cars? I do them every 50k or 5 years. My tow vehicle? Depends on how much I've been towing and how much I've heated up the brakes. I bleed them myself which is all the dealer is going to do anyway. Takes...

THIS is the problem with healthcare

MY daughter had a visit to the ER about 3 weeks back... Future of retirement in America
