Cheap card for converting VHS

I'm looking for a cheaply priced video card for converting VHS and such to DVD for a buddy. He doesn't play games, and really is just looking to be able to do the conversions. Any ideas on lower-priced cards for him?

Ram speed = FSB speed? Few questions on OCing.

but if you run the dual channel at the same speed as the cpu, will you get even better results? Can you run it a higher speed and get better results or is it a case of diminishing returns?

Yep, I backup regularly and have my windows partition separate from my data files. So, hopefully if things go bad, I"ll be able to recover quickly.

Yeah, i figured any errors was bad. I'm using memtest 86 version 3.0. Should i use a different version? The link you provided was for the plus version, is that better? I just downloaded it and will try it out tonight. EIther way, I was getting errors at 192 with 3:4:4:11 timings. THis ram...

How do you change the settings? It doesn't seem like my keyboard has any effect (esc or other keys don't do anything, to stop the test, i have to shut down manually). Is there something I'm missing since this is the first time ive used memtest. Would it be good to just the run the heavy RAM...

Memtest

How many passes should be run? Are any number of errors acceptable, or does it have to pass clean? I did four passes with four errors. Is that okay? I'm also using kingsotn 3200 valueram( and yes, i know it's not good ram).

Eh, unfortunately, my cache flow ain't so hot, and I'm probably going to stick with what i gots. I"ll just see how far I can push it knowing that i'm already handicapped with notsogood ram.

yeah, i knew i should have spent the extra cash to buy better memory. I guess that means I need to bring my fsb back down? I didn't do a control test at standard settings. I wonder if i'll still get the same errors. Eh, I guess that's something to do overnight.

If i can run prime95 overnight with 3-4-4-11, is that okay? I just ran out for 20 minutes with no errors at 11x200. I ran a quick memtest, 1 full pass and got 12 errors, but had to stop it (i'm in the middle of writing a paper). I"ll have to wait until tonight before i run prime95 for a few...

THat's hilarious! Well, it looks as if by default I'm not going TT. Just gotta make this last decision between the TR and the Arctic Cooling. I just don't want to shell out twice as much money if the artcic cooling is good enough.
