Spelled correctly, it's padawan. A padawan is a Jedi that is apprenticed to a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master to learn more about the Force and the galaxy as they go on missions with their master.

Oh gnoes! We'd better stop DCing right away! We might cure cancer!
Everyone knows that helping people without making a profit in return is a BAD THING!
The 5150s seemed to be the most flakey of the Dell laptops when I worked on them at the computer shop at my university. Shame to hear it's gone to hell for you.
I'm wondering if Comcast will eat my soul if I keep whoring this project out. Anyone know the bandwidth limits, since a simple scouring of their site doesn't show any documents regarding limits. I'd like to run this when I'm not gaming, but I'd rather not lose my account.
Yeah, I decided to switch over to SoB for a while and run the 2nd tests to help you guys out here. I'll probably roam between projects on my main box, but stay with FaD on the others.
More great work in DHEP which is really lowering our average rankings in science and overall! Also, today marks the addition of the Seventeen or Bust Sieve and Factorization stats.
Personally, while I think it's a great project, I think it's time to move on to BOINC once any latent issues with it are figured out. I've seen a lot of people say "I'd love to help out other projects...Once SETI classic ends, that is." and I'm kind of hoping for a fresh start where everyone...
TSC Russia has been kicking butt for some time in FaD, and they are definitely a force to be reckoned with. But then, so is cancer, AIDs, and other diseases we're hunting for a cure for, so I'm glad they're here!
A great day for the team, with gains made in 4 projects: Lifemapper (up to 3rd!), DHEP (thanks Chipster22!), Einstein@Home, and Find-a-Drug (Up to 4th)!
When I first read this a couple of years ago, I was too annoyed to laugh at it. But yes, I'm pretty sure no one could have written this with a straight face.
Hopefully we'll get more people going on this project soon, so the BOINC variable credit system works faster, since I've got 750 in pending credits with more accumulating every minute.
I just run the BOINC client straight from the Einstein site, which is as close to CLI as you can get with this. I wouldn't touch it if I had to use a screensaver only.
You sign up at: This site here! and then you wait for an invite. I signed up shortly after it was announced, so you might have to wait a bit.
But the alpha testing is going great so far. 3 computers running with no problems with the program and current work units finishing in about 45 minutes...
Looks like the alpha invites are coming out now, as TA_Andy and I are busy churning out some results for the TeAm with it. Hopefully the TeAm will get some more invites soon and then we can really do some good work in it, since we are in 12th right now.
I thought I'd give you guys a little boost, since you're so close to 3rd. Unfortunately, the Einstein@Home alpha gave me a spot, so I'm helping us out there.
