Brilliant! Thank you! Wall mount is preferable, this should be perfect. Cool. Good to know, I'll probably grab one to test. I've just had really bad experiences with the entire 7260 line (and judging by the plethora of threads in the Intel support forums, I'm not alone!).

Things that still suck about Windows 7

HomeGroups, yes, to an extent, but your library can contain folders on WHS. That's how I have mine setup now. It's really nice...my folders on WHS are all indexed and easily reachable in save/open dialogs. One of the best features in 7, IMO.

Weather, stocks, multiwoot and coconutview (axis cam viewer for our office camera). I don't use the sidebar itself though, I have gadgets floating on desktop with sidebar closed. A lot of people don't realize you can do this with Vista, it's better done in 7.

Yikes, stay away from VistaPrint for business cards

Same here, we used them for engagement party invites, our "rehearsal" dinner invites, and several other parties. No problem with solicitation or spam that I know of. Now if I can just figure out how those "auto insurance renewal" fuckers got my cell # (no, I never gave vista print my cell #).

1saveonlens.com I've been using them for years, they are cheap too. I just had an eye exam a few hours ago for the first time in 3 or 4 years, my prescription is still the same from 10yrs ago...crazy.

Yes, I live in central and work with clients in eastern time, mostly. I have to get up a little earlier. I find myself working later though, even though I should be "done" at 4pm. I feel bad for the woman in our company who works out of CA though.

WGS is easily the busiest WHS site and also has a nice list of add-ins as mentioned. Home Server Land doesn't really have a lot of content, but is the home for GridJunction's (an excellent WHS UPS add-in) developer's beta program. Uh...nice mod callout. You're gonna get what you asked...

Yes, I've booted WHS, Vista, Windows 7 and Ubuntu installers from USB memory sticks. USB optical drives work fine as well.

Ok for those of us waiting for W7 a few questions of you beta testers.

2 big things I really like are the new taskbar and new windows easy transfer. The taskbar still needs some tweaking, imo. It's too hard to tell when you have multiple IE8 windows open as opposed to tabs. It would be nice if there was some sort of indicator of that on the previews. Wouldn't...

WHS vs NAS

My WHS is that box with 2GB RAM and 2x 500GB HDs. Works perfectly. I'd recommend the Atom 330-based dual core version that is available now though.

Any alternative to the Apple TV?

I use my 360 + PlayOn + TVersity. Works well. You could also consider an MSI Wind desktop + Ubuntu + Boxee. You could build that for ~$200, depending on how much local storage you want. The Atom + integrated graphics isn't going to get you 1080p video though...have to wait for Ion boxes for...
