Thanks for the info. I have one instance of the GUI version of SETI running, and use SETI Monitor as a cache. I use the GUI since I started with it four years ago, and will probably stay with it until the end, or 2500 WU's, which is just around the corner. As I said, I just downloaded F@H only...

Since I downloaded F@H my times for SETI have more than doubled!!!!!!! My times with F@H is yet to be determined since I haven't yet finished my first WU. Should my times have doubled, since my HT chip was running at 50% before I downloaded F@H? Are there average times for folding units, or...

Zalman CNPS7000ALCU or CNPS6000 + Antec Sonata

akseli, I don't know about the Sonata, but it fits my Antec 3700-BQE which is very similar. My mobo is an ASUS P4P800-Deluxe. Hope this helps. klaatu51

Can a Zalman 7000A-AlCu really cool a 3.0Ghz Pentium 4 in Silent Mode?!

Dance123, I use a Zalman7000Al-Cu on a 3.0GHz @ 3.6GHz and the temps are at 41-44C while running SETI 24/7. Good luck. klaatu51

Overclocking P4P800 Deluxe

Have you considered using the boards built in overclocking system? I installed one Friday night and my 3.0 is now at 3.6 with temps at 39C while running SETI 24/7. Good luck. klaatu51

Thanks for the advice. As for my WU times, when I started with a Celeron 300, and using the screensaver, they averaged about 130-140 hours. Turning the screensaver off reduced the times to 35-40 hours. Last summer I built a box with the 2.4GHz that I mentioned and times dropped to 5 hours. Now...

apoppin, The manual says that it works but at only 320MHz instead of 333MHz. Actually it says it "MAY" run at that speed. This "MAY" just be a language translation issue so only time will tell. I will read the manual before I start the process. Must be getting old if I read the manual...

Right now I am a little unsure about messing around in the BIOS too much....I know just enough to really mess things up so I will try to be sure things are running smoothly before I try adjusting memory settings. As for the OS it is XP Home. klaatu51

Today I got a new cpu and mobo and want to install them but someone told me I can't do a simple swap. I'm upgrading from an ASUS P4PE 2.4GHz to a ASUS P4800-Deluxe 3.0GHz. Do I have to reformat or reinstall first? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Sorry if this is the wrong board but none...
