    Generally, they are used to determine about when the processor was manufactured. Certain batches of CPU's can sometimes be better overclockers than others, so this is used to see what batch the particular cpu comes from.

    well I'd say that your case temp shouldn't be more than 10c above your ambient temp. Mine is around 5 over and I have two front 80s intake, two side 80s intake, and two rear 80s exhaust.

    You might wanna look at the antec true power series of power supplies. I think for your setup, at 430w should be plenty. I have a true blue 480w and it works great with 2 optical drives, 2 hdds, 5 case fans, and a radeon 9800 pro

    There could be a problem with the thermal sensor on the a7n8x. I'd say make sure you apply the as5 right, but it appears that you know what you're doing. Is the hs hot to the touch?

    Im partial to pancakes simply due to their stackablity. You can't have a plate of 5 or 6 wafles piled high. Its just not the same. Therefore pancakes > waffles.
