Willamette (P4 1.4) on Canterwood?

apoppin: i agree. you're right, it's their mistake, they should pay. :P however, there are things the customer can do to protect themself from the agony involved in something like this. if this guy's dad did it all over again he would probably ASK the csr if there are going to be any fees...

i quit using it a while ago too... unfortunate that most people use IM now. ICQ was the best thing when it came out and IM just sucked. now IM has stolen all of ICQ's features. my # is 387803... loooong time ago.

Looking for a good 3 speaker set

KVM .. need a good one capable of 1280x1024 w/out ghosting

You can buy home depot PC bulbs @ 6500K, which is actually closer to the spectrum of daylight. Its appearance is more bluish than most bulbs.

Colorado is on fire! With pics

i was in denver on sunday and it was like being right next to a big campfire. smoke in the eyes and ashes falling from the sky. the sun was obscured by the smoke so it looked like an LED indicator light in the sky. pretty weird.

i've seen something like that happen before, with an online pet store actually. in that case if he had posted anonymously, he probably would have lost credibility. that's actually a whole other issue with these sue-happy idiots... but i agree... there can't really be any absolutes when it comes...

Mouse Still On When PC is Off

unplug the powersupply... other than that i'm not sure if it's fixable. for some reason the ps2 ports remain powered even after the computer shuts down.

That's kind of annoying... but thanks for the info so far. I hate this meaningless MHz thing... Intel might as well give their processors a PR rating too... except downrating them to realistic numbers. Maybe I'll sell both these systems and get a Mac. :P Or not...

It's a non-XP Athlon... Tbird core. I would've thought that my putsy VT266 (non-A) would compensate for SOMETHING, but apparently not. (It's the original Soyo Dragon.) The other mobo is the new MSI 845 Ultra. I didn't realize UT was so processor dependent. Think I should swap the video cards if...

I've got a P4 1.5 (OCed to 1.65) w/ 384 MB DDR RAM on an Intel i845 chipset with an ATi Radeon 8500 and a Tbird 1.33 (Non-OCed) w/ 256 MB DDR RAM on a VT266 and a Geforce 2 GTS. I just installed Unreal Tournament on both of these and oddly enough, the Tbird system runs it noticeably better at...

Help... I broke the power button on my Nokia 8260

if i'm not mistaken, the 8260 doesn't have removeable faceplates. so i'm not surprised you busted your phone because it wasn't meant to be taken apart like that. take it to one of those useless cellphone stores scattered everywhere and see what they tell you.

For a girl, is 5'7, 120lb nice?

I know a girl who is 6'1" and weighs 160 and looks THIN. My ex is 5'8" and weighs like 140 and she certainly didn't look fat. It just depends on the girl. But at 120 you can be assured she isn't fat, and that's what matters, eh? ;)
