6800 GT and HL2 drivers

I know this has probably been asked before...but I've never really seen a clear answer. What are the best nVIDIA drivers for Half-Life 2? I have a 6800 GT if that helps any....and it would be preferred if the drivers didn't crash FlatOut either :D.

Which programming language?

I don't have any specific app in mind, I just want to know programming to add to my list of skills. Plus, I want to go into a scientific field and if I can program my own programs it is a plus :D.

I want to start learning some programming languages which will be a valuable skill down the road for me. I am currently in 10th grade so I don't need to go straight to C now, I can take some time learning other languages if that is a better path. I have heard about python, C, C++, Perl, java...

6800GT resolution question

I think what may be a better IQ comparision would be- 1280x1024 4xAA/8xAF and 1600x1200 no AA/ 8x AF What would the IQ be like that way? And which would perform better?

I am now going to be transferred to billing, which apparently is the number I called in the first place! GRRR! At least this guy seems human and is looking into it a little further why I have been transferred all over... At least I'm getting a tour of verizon DSL support...

Mandrake Install Problems

Re: mouse install- I think that is taken care of after partitioning if I remember right... Have you tried a different way of formatting? Partitioning the drive into 3 parts, the linux swap, linux native, and then some useless small partition? I don't know if it would work or not or why it would...

Mandrake vs Win XP Pro for older computers

I installed Mandrake 10 on an old p3 733 laptop, 128 mb RAM, some HD (probably 5400 RPM), and it runs fine for e-mail and internet. Haven't tried much else at the moment.

Waiting for the 6800 review

In NFS:U it looks like the min difference is only 1, but the max is 20, and it is slower in far cry for min fps, only marginally faster for max fps Could this show that the 6800 ultra doesn't have as much horsepower as thought to be? EDIT: Sorry, the 6800 ultra had 2x more AA on....
