Yup. Thats y i removed it from the case eniterly. It was built and troubleshot on the motherboard's box right after I noticed that it had initially been giving me issues. I think I may just order myself some of that corsair ram on newegg and return the kingston. Just these restocking fees...

I cant even get into bios to change memory settings. It is that unstable :( And yea as I said I have tried two new motherboards and thats why im looking at the ram although 2 new sticks of kingston not working in two higher quality boards is still far fetched

Whats the difference between 7800GT and GTOC

So basically to sum that all up: its just oced with some different cooling solutions. Nothing special about it besides that. Often it would be better to get a deal on a reg GT and buy an aftermarket cooler to achieve even better results though im not sure on how the yields on the gt chips are...

3d mark 05 goes down?

There is something called "thermal throttling" that cards often do to protect their gpus from overheating when they get to a certain temp. Basically it downclocks the card on the fly to cool the chip. It used to happen in the 5900 series but im quite unaware if it happens within the newer...

This is likely part of the case. I'm sure they could lower it more, just it still does proabably cost more than the 6600gt.

x850 pro Overclocking

Run a variety of tests. I found doom 3 picks up some things that other games wont. Also 3dmark. Watch em carefully. Different benchmarks test the cards differently. But overall, u usually just have to lower it slightly if u see some on one game vs another. Its usually like 5mhz or so...

How is FEAR on a 9800Pro

I think the game looks different. Not a bad different, but a good one. I was also impressed by the AI. I imagine ill pick it up eventually here. I have more games than time tho atm.

What kind of card could run WoW?

Yea the system that i had just looked at that my friend was paying on (2.2ghz p4, 512mb ram, gf4 4200) the barrens looked like my system's Ironforge (~3300+axp, 1gb ram, 9800p oced). Walking around for the initial minute in those situations is comparable to being obliterated from a few too many...

We need more info. We know this game obviously has bugs due to the texture bug on pg 2. Secondly, we need the same card w/ 256 and 512 to determine if this is the case indefinately. NV archetecture isnt THAT much different that it should be getting benches like on the 3rd page. That is just...

Sold my 6800 Ultra on ebay, now the buyer is unhappy

I think your deal was a bit shady on the part of the aftermarket cooler, but as far as the card goes, it should work so u should be fine on that part. If you didnt state the cooler was defective, u owe him a cooler at most. You def dont owe him a card if he f's it up himself.

S3 Savage 2000: The card obviously couldnt even produce the proper image in the latest games for that time period. The 5800u could in all cases (save for 16bit percision which wasnt as major) produce the accurate image. And its performance wasnt the best, but it def wasnt abysmal as compared...

Can a blackout reset a BIOS to defaults?

The difference between your 9800p and a 6600gt isnt that big at all. I'd stay with what you have until you can afford a 6800gt/x800p or better. Stay away from those 8 pixel piped cards.

Crossfire limited to 16X12 resolution!

I find this to be quite informative and likely to be true. I'm hoping for a good r520 showing to keep competition strong. ATI needs something solid and reliable out before nv's head gets too big. I have faith in the company, just i'm not so sure why they've been messing up quite so much lately.
