Question CPU FAN fail

Sorry I think I explained it wrong, the warning stopped appearing ever since I moved the Kraken z73 pump 3 pin from the AIO_PUMP to CPU_FAN...I did that the first day that I built the system. 2 week ago and the system was working just fine, no warnings what so ever.... only now after 2 weeks...

Thanks…you bring interesting points, I will try it and let you know how it goes. I can swear that I went over the guides a multiple times but I can see that my perception of what the AIO_PUMP header actually does was wrong…I am considering your last comment as well to open the case and switch...

Hey guys, Its been over 2 weeks that I have completed my build, and today upon booting I get the “CPU fan fail” I turned off the pc 2 times and rebooted, still the same. I then turned off the pc and turned off the PS as well and when I rebooted It worked just fine, I did several reboots after...

so what you are saying my nvme is sucking juice out of my 8700k which that juice can be used to push the rtx 3090? im on the pg259qn does it matter? how much of diffrence we talking? and am i goiing to completely remove my nvme ? ps. im getting 5150ghz our of 8700k (with the default oc wizard)...

Question Is my PC good enough for RTX 3090?

I play mainly FPS games, Cods and Overwatch online I get decent 90-150 fps on my current 2K monitor (I also have disabled some unnecessary shadows, particles and such, but model and texture always on the highest) I have OC'ed my 8700K to 5100 with a kraken X62. temps are high 80s but below 90s...

I see, just to make sure I understood correctly....in other words, given that I want to use the 3090 with the Asus PG259QN 360hz 1080p for now, my 8700K should do the trick? unless when I hook it up to my 4K monitor... and thats where my 8700K will hold me back?

thank you for both of your feedback, definitely alot to try to weed out the issue. will start with the sound, maybe not using the astro a50s, but i have to say last night it crashed twice and the clock was reverted back to couple of hours behind like before... i had just changed it half an hour...

Hi, do you guys know why the screen goes black and sc2 freezes when I press on start key. I know a simple solution would be not to press it, but it's not suppose to do that and I'm wondering whats causing it I'm running on i7-8700k, gf gtx 1080ti, 16gb ram. my NVidia refresh rate is at 144hz...

I see, so the profile # 1 was a result of what i had done through EZ mode once before, but through EZ mode its really a wizard that walks me through overclocking, asks me questions like what do i need it for gaming or reading, what kinda fan and etc... was interesting that the result of that was...

My default is also at 2133 like yours but you also just said coffee lake should be 2666? Also i just manually changed my ram speed to 3200 from 2133, and it stayed intact.... however my xmp is still disabled because i am not sure what “profile#1” consists of... sorry not so familiar...

Thanks for the advice i will try that! But what about my ram i got a 16gb g.skill rgb 16c 3200mhz but it runs at 2133 or something should i bring it to 3200? Also why is it over than advertised by default?

Thanks bud afterall the issue was the 2 brand new garbage microsoft usb keys I created my own fresh bootable usb on a GOOD usb drive and worked like a charm

Thats what i did but i had to goto someone else’s house and wanted to avoid that! It worked like a charm, i cant believe how trashy these two brand new microsoft usb keys were!!! Way to go microsoft!!!

Would 850watts be overkill? PC Build questions.

I will not ask why these could happen, it’s just simple common sense and with everything that you just explained it perfectly make sense how water cooling system could fail! But I will ask you why would it be 10000x more likely to fail on your system than mine?

I cant disable it, its grayed out! Im trying to find out I called the store the clerk asked me a few questions then said he is 99.99% sure that its the usb key thats defective as this is a common problem with microsoft’s flimsy usb keys!

Hi, I just finished putting together a pc It consists of: asus z370e, samsung 960 evo and thats my only drive! I get through bios screen no problem but when i insert the purchased windows 10 usb key it goes through the choice of 32bit or 64 bit then it gives me an error 0xc0000225 winload.efi...
