Worth upgrading from 3200XP to 64bit 3200?

I would wait, unless you have a great need for more computing power. I just did the upgrade from a 2500+ XP overclocked to 2.3 ghz to a AMD64 Winchester 3200+ overclocked to 2.5 ghz and meh...

is the zalman zm-80d-hp a really good thing to buy?

i have the C version on my geforce 4 ti4200 it worked great! if you want low noise, nothing beats it. warning you, you probably don't want to overclock with it. or else zalman makes a 'flower' type video card cooler that just came out.

SHuttle SN95G5 Overclock

Well this is socket 939 first of all. Some people got it to go to 2.7 ghz. I however, haven't been able to do anything past 2.2 ghz. RAM is definately an issue. The motherboard bios itself is buggy so you have to be pretty patient and fiddle with it.

u can't replace the SN95G5 fan that easily. it is a 4 pin fan... using Pulse Wave Modulation.

well it sorta works. i mean it turns on at least. windows BSOD when i was installing however. i need to upgrade my bios... i guess that will have to be done via floppy. what uitility do i use? awdflash?

Looking for Good 15" LCD w/ DVI

i've had 5 samsung lcds, i used to run dual 152T on DVI. it was great image quality, colour representation and viewing angles. games worked pretty well too. i would recommend it.

get Samsung 213T, not Dell 2001fp ??

i have seen 6 samsung lcds, three 152Ts and three 173Ts... out of all of these, thats 3 x 1024 x 768 + 3 x 1280 x 1024 pixels, there was one dead pixel that was stuck off. i think samsung is pretty reliable, but also with a 21" model, the larger transistors than in a 20" are probably less...

SFF - Dual Display?

yea, pretty much any SFF PC that has an AGP slot will be able to do dual display, whether it be dual analog or dual DVI with the right video card.

Is anyone using a 25ms LCD for gaming?

i've used both the samsung 152t and the 173t for gaming, they're both 25 ms. maybe they ghost a bit, but i really don't notice it. i think it also depends on the person, what bothers one may not bother another. it doesn't seem to affect my gameplay, i can score the highest pts in ut2k4 onslaught...

mx700

mine last for several days as well (maybe like a week at most), and i use it about 6 hours a day. i use energizer nimh batteries that are 2100 mah, i have a spare set waiting on a charger, so i just rotate when the main set die. the system works great for me.

Idle CPU temp - 50C - too hot?

i have a zalman 7000a with as5, the fan is turned down to the lowest speed using the fanmate. and with 1.79v going through my barton 2500+ mobile, my idle temp is 50 deg. my case fan is turned down rediculously low too, so i don't have great airflow... if you're running default voltage, then it...
