What he said :) A1 and A2 get a 64bit memory bus, B1 get another 64bit memory bus. Why they did 3 dimms instead of 4 is beyond me. Glad you got it =)

Stable CPU Voltage on Asus A8N-SLI Premium

Overclocking..... can I undo after being overclocked for years??

Yes, you can go back to normal speed given that the CPU isn't damaged in anyway. Sometimes though if the CPU's been running at higher than normal voltage for long periods of time, it may not be able to do stock speed at stock volts anymore. In essence the high voltage may have broken the CPU...

BTX cases fit ATX mobo?

Actually the only reason I want a BTX case is that it opens up on the right hand side, which is pefect for my desk arrangment. It's hard to find cases that open up on the right hand side for ATX.

Best Water Cooling?

I would go with a Thermaltake Xaser Armor case. A lot of people recommend the stacker as well, and both bear resemblances in design. Huge amounts of 5 1/4" bays in the front, nice long case to route cables and massive amounts of room. I think the Armor is a slightly better case though. If you...

Diode vs Socekt temp readings in MBM which is more acurate?

The Diode in the CPU is much more accurate. The Socket Temp being so far from the actual Die of the chip is usually at least 10c off.

BFG 6800OC Not overclocking?!

If you use Riva Tuner, you can save the history of the clock speed, mem speed, temperature and stuff, so I know that the clock is 350.

Yeah, I turned that on. See it works in 3dmark 2003, but in Couterstrike or HL2, it doesn't overclock but still stays at 351.

Weird oc problem

Hmm... yeah... I think that might be the problem, cuz when I'm running Prime95 and 3dmark.. it takes ages to finish one tests whereas with 3dmark off.. it completes it a lot faster, although i must say it never occured to me that I wouldn't be running at 100% in that situation. I'll definately...

Thanks for the replys. The weird thing still is why does my system shut down like that? I'm thinking it might be the Asus C.O.P. shutting me down, but I'm not 100% sure.

I have a Enermax 350Watt. I'll give it another try. The thing is if I run Prime95 for say 5 minutes, my computer would crash. If I ran prime 95 with 3dmark, I can run it for 4 hours (or more, I quit it after 4).

Weird oc problem

Well right now I have a A7N8X-E Deluxe and a Mobile 2500+ XP. Right now it runs 11.5x200 @ 1.625 100% stable. So I thought hey... good chip... lets keep overclocking, so I bump it up to 12x200. Only problem now is the cpu can't seem to really handle that at 1.625, so I bump up the voltage...

Well with such a high voltage, it's not just the issue of heat, it's also electromigration. The higher the voltage, the faster the electromigration, the quicker your CPU will die. 1.9 is running a little high, and although the temps are fine, ur cpu's going to die quite a lot sooner than if you...

Getting hacked, what to do?

Didn't help, guy was persistant and continued. It's on a Network campus so I installed Norton Firewall, but no hardware router. The guy did finally admit it and called my friend through Rez. THanks for the advice guys.

Question about P4's and arctic silver
