Once I discovered Mountain biking a couple of years ago, I float through my work day thinking about getting off work and getting to go and mash through the woods....work matters to me and I try to do a reasonably competent job but I don't really care about the BS anymore, it exists, I...
I think it's also our society in general, people(most generations) today think they 'deserve' everything that's materialistic and just buy it instead of saving any money. I see lots of folks driving $60k+ trucks/SUVs just to commute to work in, I see almost everyone with pricey new phones +...
My very favorite Masekela tune is his cover of this Hancock piece...so much energy and passion in this one.

I scored a pair of Acoustic Research AR-2AX (built in 1965) speakers for $10 at a community yard sale a few years ago. I rebuilt the crossovers for about $30 and cleaned them up aesthetically...they look and sound wonderful.
Yeah, I'm getting to the point I don't really care about watching any sports and most TV shows are 'reality' crap shows...so I need to seriously consider doing this now.

I thought I was the only person who thought this way about 'sports talk.' It baffles me how grown folks can be entertained by someone repeatedly explaining how to 'boil water.' I will watch a game once in a while but usually on mute while I'm listening to music.
Cris Collinsworth is the one...
Nice, I still use my 1965 Acoustic Research AR2AX speakers that I restored to like new condition(rebuilt the crossovers) a few years ago....Found them at a yard sale for $5.
We still allow faxing using a copper phone line at work. I want this to go the way of the DoDo sooner than later but it's still here and I have to deal with shit when it fails.
That's kinda how I felt about this season...it felt like I was watching a reboot of Aliens when the alien-dogs starting chasing/killing people. That part killed it for me but it's still watchable and mildly enjoyable.
I got one of these for my birthday when i was 12. Put it together by myself and had a blast with it, modified it pretty heavily and won a couple of first place trophies at the local hobby shop races.

I put something very similar to this in my Scion a few years ago and never got a complaint about the bluetooth sound quality. Streams whatever you want to play from your phone and worked well with iphone and android.

$80k, Sysadmin, 40 hours/wk 7-4 (very little OT)
I live and work ~40miles outside of Atlanta, no traffic, very low cost of living (3100 sq,ft + 4 acres = $150k)
Perks:
Commute is a breeze @ 15 minutes
I work 5 minutes from a favorite Mountain Bike trail.
No local boss (they're all in CA) as...
I think that's a solid choice, I saw that one but wanted to stay as low as possible. The vinyl rabbit-hole can get out of hand quick [emoji3]

Almost 100% certain the issue is because the turntable needs to be plugged into some kind of Phono Stage. Regular inputs on a preamp/amp/receiver can't handle the output from a turntable properly. There are some cheap ones that will allow you to use the regular inputs but a cheap one will sound...
I think with all the added 'features' within the GUI of modern consumer grade routers is what causes most if not all the issues. Back in the early days when these same brands were 'stable' was when the GUI's were very basic without all the fluff we have today. Don't get me wrong I like...
I watched the first episode and it wasn't very good., i'd give it a 5/10 for the premiere but might give it a couple more episodes before I bail. Premieres aren't always a good litmus test for how a show will be over time. I didn't like the first couple of episodes of The IT Crowd but I'm glad...
I feel your pain...I teach all the managers about bcc :)
I've only been working in IT for about 4 years now but my list of pet peeves could fill a book already.
Sky Bars might be something a bit different that kids will enjoy...Amazon has a 36 pack for ~$40 shipped.

All shifts have their pluses and negatives. At age 45 I have literally had almost every hour of the day as a start time and no matter which schedule I currently have, I always miss something about another schedule I had previously. 2nd shift is awesome for sleep and flexibility(ability to get...
