What was wrong with the card that makes you think you have this problem? I own an X-Fi as well and the worst I get from it is scratching at times, but then again, it is the very first fab of the card so it's almost expected for me.
Avocent SwitchView is a KVM over IP though isnt it? Rather expensive just for a standard issue KVM he is looking at pricing...unless I'm uninformed at the moment.
I think this a glory title more than anything~ to say "I overclocked my Intel Extreme 2 yo!" or what not. I wouldn't suggest it since if you do burn her up, you'll be buying a new motherboard (possibly more) and not just a video card.
It's not that you can't use those with them but rather than Corsair doesn't support them and they haven't been tested. Which simply means there could be latency problems with them or small compatability issues. Normally, this isn't a problem but it's always something to definately take into...
I would defiantely get the X-Fi from a pricing stand point. While the other has those neat features you will probably never use, teh X-Fi will still be supported in years to come and actually required for some games (models with xram).
If you didn't want the nagging voice telling you to get better, should have just gotten Power & PC Cooling the first time. No doubt P&PC is the best, which is what it sounds like your looking for.
I've been trying to find some with a built in mic that have the engineering aspects for computing, not cell phones. Still want the stereo sound but with a wireless microphone too...voip and what not ya know.
It's obvious the persons writing the review do not understand how transportation and inventory systems work...just another computer nerd talking trash.
You idoits that are anti-Intel and try to use it for an excuse for anything really need to wake up...any day now even.
In other news, the MSI 7800GTX cards are definately one of the lowest ranking fabs of the 7800 chipset. Even with that in mind, check an over-riding driver setting that might...
Definatley get a patch panel and tools to set that up, ie punchdown. Rather than buying a dell managed switched, just get a 2900XL series Cisco switch off eBay. It's very common to find them on there new/refrub/used extremely cheap with the Cisco IOS. You should be able to get track to match the...
Since you've only got two machines and neither appears to be running in 66MHz+ slots, you do realize that you can't even use a fraction of the speed right?
You're probably going to experience instability because one drive may get behind in file transfers and the other finishing could make a cheap RAID controller signal for continuation of files. Potentionally, that could currupt data instantly.
Isn't it great to know that when you think you have any privacy at all it turns out you have absoutely none? We just keep giving away those freedoms like no tomorrow due to the ignorance of America...
Always look for good, clean power. Cheaper power supplies will have high advertised watt ratings but disperse very poor power, damaging to hardware at times.
How many years do you expect it to be before there are enough tools avaliable in Linux to successfully take the market over by providing the proper compatabilty?
I'd recommend a SATA2 RAID system. The performance is extremely close to Ultra320, the price is considerably lower, and even some motherboards offer the option built in with decent controllers. A site of high speed drives and your good to go and not broke either.
Biometric devices work great. However, the software isn't working so well. Most software is limited to the scope of software you use. It's a common issue for users who wish to use alternative browsers to have issues getting the biometric device to authenticate. If you wish to manage more than...
If the PSU was dying it probably wouldn't run fine afterwards. Typically the only thing that will allow a system to perform perfect after a boot error such as that is a battery in BIOS/SCSI adpater, etc.
284k seems kinda low for the cost of a HARM considering a SRAW runs 200k according to "contractors" so that makes me question whether 284k is what we pay for the box they ship it in...
The first released verisons of X-Fi sound cards have general issues with crackling in some instances. If you get one as such, be sure to get a factory replacement. Also, be prepared to switch "modes" to get full functionality when desiring to listen to music and game shortly there after.
Almost all motherboards shipped today have manual statistics much lower than their capabilities. Look at the Asus P4WD2. It shipped with minimum device support and ended up supporting DDR2-800 and ATI Crossfire before they we're even released as final technologies.
